They're playing at the Byron Bay Bluesfest this year. I was planning to go until I saw it was going to cost me nearly $400.

2. Last year's Progressive Nation was awesome. This years...not so much, imo at least.

 

3. END. Pretty good French band. A lot of Meshuggah/Gojira inspiration I'm guessing.

Pffft. Dream Theater are awesome too. Also Beardfish sound pretty awesome too. Not sure about Pain of Salvation though. The worst part of the audience from last year was just your typical Tool fans and people who were dicks when BTBAM and Opeth were playing.

Young Zappa has been doing his father's music for some time...How'd you miss that?

 

Not really metal, but Earl Root LOVED Frank Zappa, he collected all his recordings, official or not. Wonder who gets that collection in the wake of his passing?

I purchased "The Fathomless Mastery" a few days ago and in my opinion it's the best to release they have. Mock The Cross, Wretched Human Mirror, At the Behest of Their Death. The record is full of great tracks.
