I used to be a big Cradle of Filth of fan, but with their last few albums, although it may sound cliche, they sold out hard. I'm afraid for any band that signs to RR records.

 

COF reminds me of an "extreme" HIM. Extremely sh*tty.

Just recently discovered Harvey Milk. Heavy, slow, alternative. Huge Melvins influences to be found, but without ever being a ripoff and always coming with their own style. They broke up in 98, but have recently come together with former Melvins bassist and legendary solo artist Joe Preston (Thrones, has worked with Sunn O)))) and their newest offering, Special Wishes, is one hell of an album.

They put on an amazing live show, regardless.

Wow, Be'lakor are from your area?! They are simply fantastic, probably the best new/unknown sort of band I have heard in a while. Neither Shape Nor Shadow is an awesome song, epic as f*ck.

I think on the drinking sound of the music, Alestorm win, but Troll Bends Fir are good, I would quite like to hear more from them.

My favourite localish band, that is getting themselves out there would be Warpath some excellent Brutal Death from Dublin
