I saw them play support to Dark Funeral in 2006 and it was hilarious how good they were in comparison to the hilariously hokey DF and the sh*tty local Cleveland-based darkthrone cover band.

Bump to talk about how f*cking nasty Pig Destroyer is live.

 

 

The first two openers were called Backstabbers Inc who I am not familiar with and Hivesmasher who are a local band here (not sure if Backstabbers Inc are local too) who are killer grindcore. Tombs went on before Pig Destroyer. They were great but a little out of place in this show.

 

 

Pig Destroyer destroyed. The crowd was violent, JR and Scott Hull (who looks a lot like John Cena these days) were drinking gin straight out the bottle in between songs and there was never a dull moment in the show. I hope since Agoraphobic Nosebleed is already on the MDF bill they get the rest of Pig Destroyer on the bill too some how. Killer show.

I got a record player for Christmas so I've been re-buying some albums on vinyl and they aren't lying when they say it sounds better. The Maiden albums I bought on vinyl make the CD's sound terrible. Also as far as metal albums I got Splatterthrash by Ghoul and Sunbather by Deafheaven. Any suggestions on what other metal albums sound particularly killer on vinyl (besides Sleep and some other doom bands cause I already assume they sound awesome).

I bet it was. Sadly, I didn't get a chance to see RJD live, as he passed away before I started listening to metal...
