We have one, but never use it. Nobody really maintains their sh*t on there anymore. We do, however, have a Bandcamp page as well as a Reverb Nation page that we use for booking.

Just finished up tracking vocals last night for all our songs, and my throat is tired! We added some throat chanting for ambiance in our newest song, and it sounds pretty f*cking cool. We should be good to release by the end of October!

Niiiiice. Like loud chanting, or you guys get some OM stuff going on?

Shirt designs nearly finalized:

Which one would you wear?

Any other color combos you think would be cool?

I liked the top one most, red looks a bit garish and white doesn't really have an effect.

I'll leave this here:

Moonshield,

I like the first two of your color combinations. The last one doesn't stand out very well, and the third stands out too much. A darker red would be nicer imo.

For Devin Townsend fanboys, music video for 'Juular' off Deconstruction was released not long ago. As awesome as can be, the track also features guest vocals from Ihsahn.

You guys do know Devin is nuts, so claims Tim H., who've I've known for some years, and apparently met him, I never did. We still like him, mind you, but wasn't he also in Steve Vai's band around 1990?

Some time ago when I think we first heard from him.

Did any of you see ROCK IN RIO on YouTube? It was broadcast live, not only System of a Down and Guns and Roses, but some clips of Metallica and Motorhead, as well as Sepultura in it's current lineup form I guess. It was cut off when Axl finally got GNR on stage, about 1 AM that night! hahaha

I like that sound of that. And I dig on the grey on black, I would rock that.

It's a Tolkien reference. One of the names attributed to the Dead men of Dunharrow.

...It's a formula that works, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it! haha

I talked to one guy fronting his bands he said he chose a bands name based on where it would sit in the A-Z listings of a record store, there's some logic to that I guess

Here's one of the best NuMetal band songs and performances with Sevendust at Woodstock 99, I used to have the DVD but it got lifted I guess

The grey on black shirt is the best looking one (shirt 2). Something I think looks really cool is black print on black shirts, but your design might be a bit complicated for that.

I'm digging the gray on black shirt. Where do I buy one?

Russian Circles is amazing. Just sayin'.

I saw them circa 1995, also had a video with Machine Head and Type O from Milwaukee Metalfest.

Got an update of my favorite KYUSS vid and song

Germans here will or should know their band SODOM, here doing Maiden cover

Mr. Earl Root once said about this song, A good Kick in the Teeth.

Classic vid from the late 1980, Gene Hoglan is a drum GOD

Gene Hoglan was a friend of Earl Roots, lead guitar, DISTURBED, if you don't know, the original THRASH metal Disturbed from the US

I've recently started listening to a new metal band called "We Came as Romans". I have to say their ordinary vocal talent and their screaming talent is outstanding. I've downloaded their albums to add into my Independence FM on GTA IV, because, I've taken a real liking to the band. Here's one of their songs:

EDIT: I've also started listening to Eyes Set To Kill, their vocalist is a female, and their songs, I've taken a great liking to them.

Either Nathan or Shayan was talking of the same band

I'll be checking them out, but I typically look for bands who most remind me of the original THRASH and DEATH scene, for me, it never gets old, it just seems like the perfect template for metal. Metallica always said they had to move on from their original groove, so to speak, or they'd tire of it and stagnate. The younger audience comes along and they lose the essence of what the movement was like, the one I took to so readily. I just see a change as well. Metallica is back in the news working with Velvet Underground's Lou Reed, but this is kinda disturbing...

Anyone... Shayan? Can you translate anything new for us? ^

Slamman, you haven't noticed what most others have? I am Nathan. I thought you knew seen as though my XBOX Live gamertag's at Chronicles, so I thought you'd have used that to figure out that I used it as my GTAF name.

Slamman, have you ever listened to Lamb of God? They're a great metal band, and I'd suggest them to you. Here, here's one of their songs. (Got to love the video with these lyrics, makes me laugh).

Never been a metalhead, but I love metalcore at the moment... I hope this is the right place, if not, you're welcome to throw me out.

How about some fantastic epic Viking/black/progressive metal from probably the only second-wave black metal band still producing good music?

@slam- Sodom are without a doubt one of the finest thrash bands ever. As a general rule, I've always preferred Teutonic thrash to the American stuff, but Sodom are something really special and better than almost all of their fellow German thrash bands. I love the slightly crusty hardcore punk edge to most of their stuff, the muddy bass and hypnotic d-beat.

What is Lee on about here? 2011, COOL, didn't they retire the band?

One of my favorites from the band, it's dated though, sure

Can't understand a word Lee is saying no but indeed, the band are planning on retiring shortly. Last album due out next year.

Strangely, Cathedral were the first band I ever saw live when I was 14. They were supporting a band called HIM in Leeds. I didn't appreciate Cathedral as much back then, didn't really make the most of it confused.gif That song is ace by the way.

I was thinking they would be retiring late this year, that's a shame, Cathedral are like the HEAVEY heavy Black Sabbath of Heavy Metal, in a way! DOOM giants

Here's the other giant of the avant-garde ;

Should mention of course, Saint Vitus in passing, another legend of the scene, along with TROUBLE

Slamman, thanks for posting that! I love that song (Hammerfall and Sonata Arctica did good covers of it also), and it's very popular song among the power metal scene! Helloween kind of has that style that Judas Priest has (regarding the song "Breaking the Law"), but that probably has to do with the era. I also love the song by Helloween called "Where the Rain Grows".

Here is another power metal band I love. This is probably not my favorite song from them, but this is probably their best music video yet!

EDIT: Any Savatage fans here? They are probably the most underrated band out there (in terms of how many people actually know them). Most of you guys probably know of Trans-Siberian Orchestra (the Christmas metal band), and that was a side project of Savatage.

Timely in a way, Love that Savatage. Any old metal Geezers remember SADUS??

For something more commercial, A protoMetal band in a way, not really punk, kinda rock... The Cult

Now, I'm pretty sure it was changed from The Great Southern Trend Kill"? Something like that! haha

Southern Death Cult... Yeah

Back to brash... Motorhead + Girlschool = HeadGirl??

Get to know the band, if you're not familiar. Play With Fire, 1987, one of their best tracks since it always sticks in my head!
