You guys ever notice how the riff in the Metallic song Four Horsemen sounds like horses stomping running and like doing that horse scream that they do. You know like that horse scream when they go crazy or something? I like when the guitar sounds like what the song's about. That's the best. That's probably my favorite Metallica song. "Oh yeah yeah!" lol

Totally man, the entire song is f*cking awesome and is probably my favourite Metallica song as well! I f*cking love the riff that comes in at 2:37; I don't know why but it's my favourite riff of all time.

 

Another 'tallica song that has the guitar related to the song is One, when the fast-paced alt. picking is supposed to represent machine gun fire or something

3:27 is awesome too

I f*cking love those riffs, TFH riff sounding like horses is coincidental though, it was originally called Mechanix had completely different lyrics.

 

I love how Cliff made his bass roar so it sounded like a creature's cry or something periodically through Call of Ktulu.

And they're meant to be starting another album next year, hopefully they don't f*ck the production like they did with Death Magnetic.

Yeah, I can barely stand the clipping on Death Magnetic anymore. I recently downloaded one of the remixed versions that were developed from the Guitar Hero tracks and it's a lot better than the original! The vanilla copy of DM is way too loud; another victim of the 'Loudness War'.

Clutch is here tonight at the over-priced venue, so I'll be missing them. I've got a lot of sh*t to do in preparation of our NYE show anyway.

 

Also, I turned my rebuilt strat into a bari finally, and my band's other guitarist is going to turn his strat into one as soon as he buys the SG he was looking at. So it'll be Doomsday forever soon.

It was a house party, basement show. It actually went pretty well, except the vocals were pretty inaudible. Gotta work on that. We might be opening for Beneath Oblivion on the 10th!

So the new Anaal Nathrakh album has been finished 100% and is now awaiting a release date. They're also officially announcing a tour (or show?) in California. Hopefully I'll get lucky with the dates and I'll go see them from way up north.
