How can i convert some PNG camera pictures i took to .GIFs for animation without manually going through them all and manually saving them again?

I need a bit of help with this. When I first got this PC, It had an Intel Pentium Dual Core E2140 @ 1.6Ghz. I upgraded the CPU To a Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4Ghz, but in my older PC, it has a Celeron D. I know they are rubbish. I took heatsink off it, took the CPU Out, put the Pentium Dual Core in, do everything as instructions said, put the heatsink that it had, that clipped onto some parts on the bored. Then I screwed the case on, and now, my PC Won't start up (I press the button to switch it on, and it won't), and everything is switched on. I put the Celeron back and it worked, so I don't think it could be power supply. How could I get the Pentium Dual core to work?

 

Edit: question 2: I am buying a new hard drive which uses SATA. But the sockets on my motherboard are SATA II. Since the HDD is SATA, And my sockets are SATA II, Will it still work?

Look for upgrades and/or patches for IE7, or consider a re-install. Worst comes to the worst, try restarting your computer or downloading Opera so you can surf Firefox free.

maybe try tools>options>privacy>make sure "Always clear my private data when I close firefox" is unchecked?

 

also make sure "accept cookies from sites" is checked and the drop-down list by "keep until" says "they expire?"

I bought a new HDD today (Samsung HD753LJ 750GB SATA II). I have 4 SATA II Sockets on my motherboard, and I installed it as it said, and in the BIOS, It detects it and enabled, but it does not show up in My Computer. Any ideas why it doesn't?

 

System specs (if it will help)

 

Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT 512MB

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

2GB DDR2 RAM

Windows XP Pro W/Sp3.

You've just answered your own question, it's because you've had an overclocked processor, nothing to do with your card. But to help alleviate any problems you could make sure that your system is defragged and updated by way of drivers and windows etc. and cleaned out of any old programs and temporary files, this could help speed up your system again.

They spent $200 on a 4GB stick. FOUR GIGABYTES. And for what? READYBOOST. You can get 4GB of RAM for half that. And whats worse, I guess the person bought a cruiser for twice the price and used that instead.... how are people so stupid?

I'm having a weird problem with the sound. When I try to play any games, the sound won't play, not even if I try to play music.

 

I've tried rebooting, Updating the sound card drivers, but it won't work still. This is what Dxdiag shows:
