sivispacem
What's a good alternative to the Hyper 212+? Cooler Master V6 GT Looks pretty damn sexy too! I've had a Sunbeam Core Contact for a couple of years now and it's really impressive. 43 degree load temps at 3.8Ghz, though it's only just small (large?) enough to fit in most standard format ATX cases. They've got a new dual fan version of it out but I can't find out much about it... That Coolmaster was the CPU cooler I was hoping to use with my up-coming Bulldozer octa-build. Looks like a serious piece of kit. The Killa
Is it possible to purchase a laptop here in 'murika and get European symbols installed on the keyboard physically? I know on Windows 7 i can change the language preset but I wanted to ask before I resort to doing that
dice
You can buy keyboard stickers and apply them yourself. Doubt you'll find them in any store, best bet would be online.

james227uk
Since my laptop has Shared Memory, is there any way that I can increase the amount given to graphics? There's an option in the BIOS, but that only goes up to 64MB. I need it to go to 128. Am I stuck or is there a workaround? I would have thought that since it's shared, there would be no limit, but I guess not
Ryan
I've put my 160GB iPod Classic up for sale on Kijiji. I originally paid $300 for it a year ago. It's still in great condition and has a few scratches on the back. I've also got the original box, plus everything that came with it minus the ear buds. I've also included a wall charger, and a case with it. What do you guys think would be a good asking price for it? I've got it listed right now for $150'ish. I'm more inclined to the Asus one, but never had one, HP one the other hand never gave me any troubles. I would easily pick the Asus, HP is a great brand, but so is Asus, and in this case the Asus is the clear winner, boasting a massively larger contrast ratio, otherwise the two screens are the same, a larger contrast ratio makes things looks much more natural and life-like. That is why i bought a plasma. By the way, i found the pages in English to make sure i got the specs right.
WastedEngland
Hey, wondering if some of you guys could help me make up my mind. I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card, I'm undecided between going SLi with 2 1gb GTX 460's or to go for a GTX560ti. I'm tilting more towards the 560 because I think going SLi will cause me problems. The first problem being spacing, my current 460's casing stops literally on top of the next PCI slot, fitting another 460 in beneath it will be a squeeze. This also brings forward the next problem that is cooling. My current 460 can reach the high 70's when under load, having another card directly undernieth blocking the exhaust fan wont help. Another side note is power, I have a 650w PSU and whilst it's SLi certified and mentions that it can run 2 GTX 460's in SLi, I don't want to stress it or push my luck. On the flipside, the 560ti is more expensive however I do have the choice of selling my then-redundant 460. What should I do? My options: GTX560ti GTX460 - that's the current 460 I have, just for maximum compatibility i'd get the same one again. Any advice is helpful, whilst i'd deffinatley prefer to stick to Nvidia, if anyone has a really, really good reason to move to AMD then i'm listening. Go for the single card, if I'm right in saying (feel free to correct me anyone) the benefits of SLI aren't all it's cracked up to be, you don't get the power of both, I think it's more like 1 card + ~20% or something like that. leik oh em jeez! You might get a 20% boost when you're combining two 256mb 8800GTs, but two 1gb GTX460s should see at least a 60-80% increase in performance. Upgrading from a 460 to a 560ti just doesn't seem like much of an upgrade to me. With prices dropping, you won't get much for your 460 if you do try to sell it. If you don't mind buying used, (I buy ALL my graphics cards used and have never had a problem) you can get an EVGA GTX480 off ebay for ~$250 or £

Due to my case I'd only be able to place the 2nd 460 on the PCI slot directly under the 1st. I'm 90% sure it would fit but i'm sure it could choke the top card, what do you think? My case usually has an ambient temp of around 25c, when running a GPU intensive game my 460 can hit high 70c's with the fan speed hitting ~67% Is the performance difference between a 560ti and 2 460's in SLI considerably great or just not enough to justify it? leik oh em jeez!
On average, adding a 2nd GTX460 should improve performance anywhere from 50-80%, depending on the game. Whereas upgrading to a GTX560ti usually only shows a 15-20% boost. Cooling shouldn't be a major problem. Obviously two cards are going to make more heat than one, but the cards are designed well enough there shouldn't be any overheating issues. Worst case you could always just take your side panel off when you game.
tubbs51
Ok so i'm planning on buying a Laptop for some gaming and teh Interwebz ( ) and i need to find the best Laptop i can for my price range. I dont want to go over $450 (US Dollars btw) but if theres some what of a financing option similar to BestBuy's (pay by the 18th month the full price and there'll be no interest) i could go for something as high as $600... I'm a noob when it comes to computer stuff (as you can see with the downgrade thing earlier this page and last page ) but i love gaming on my 360 and PC (WOW, Sims, Civilization, etc.). Thanks in advance and if i get a person's suggestion and its good then i'll send some eCookies your way

nixxio
Does anyone know of a program that turns stereo into quadraphonic? making a sort of fake 4.1, as 99% of the stuff you see on the internet is stereo anyways. Stereo fill in realtek control panel only seems to work on things like wmp, unfortunately. edit: sorry nevermind this, seems to have started working for no reason.
