Claude Speed.
720p in Youtube standards is 1280x720.
Wolf68k
I had to ask because some people think that 1024x768 qualifies for 720. And you checked the file itself and it says 1280x720? The wrong resolution is the only reason I think of that YT isn't converting it correctly. But then maybe because the quality was turned down that might be another reason. Try this. Make a very short video that is everything that is standard about 720p and upload that and see what happens.
Garfield 2
It doesn't really matter. Proper quality on YT is 1080p. 720p looks just like 480p for me.

Claude Speed.
720p in Youtube standards is 1280x720. You should be grateful for getting any help at all with an attitude like that. What attitude? That smiley? You've got to be kidding me! And you know what? It's obvious what 720p is, it only stands for one thing: 1280x720 progressive. A computer pro ought to know that. Anyway, I used the same render settings and made a short video, uploaded it and guess what? Youtube converted it in HD. So my guess is that Youtube disables HD for long ass videos to save up space?! Well, at least they should have the god damn courtesy to tell you that. Edit: Here's some other bullsh*t about Youtube. Do you remember back in 2010, sometime around autumn when they lowered the audio quality for videos under 720p? Now they reverted back to the same quality on lower resolutions like it was before. What made them change their mind in the first place? f*cking idiots! Edited February 26, 2011 by Claude Speed.
JOSEPH X
Q: I have my PC connected to my HDTV. When I first booted it up it displayed 4:3 ratio, so I had two black spaces either side of the display. I used the aspect ratio on my TV to get it to display in widescreen, but everything is stretched. Do you know how to change the aspect ratio my PC displays at? thanks
Wolf68k
You need to change the resolution in Windows to a widescreen size. Same thing you would to change the size if you were using a monitor
Tommy-Vercetti19
Any good headphone experts out there? Could you tell me if these have good quality because i don't understand headphone specifications. http://www.urbanears.com/category/plattan Thanks. Wolf68k
Here's what I would do; Google keywords make model and add the word review. In this case; urbanears plattan review A number of reviews come up in this case, including some videos
Tommy-Vercetti19
Yeah, i looked them up but one side say they are great but the other say they're bad so i thought someone might be able to understand the statistics on the web page to give me an idea on the quality. Finn 7 five 11
Try them out for yourself is the best way specs on headphones don't really mean anything, its what you think.

Well that's to be expected. The trick is to not just find a site review but to also look at user reviews and also a site/user reviews that you trust and usually agree with. @finn4life I agree but the problem is that a lot of products like this aren't sold locally, they are only online, so "trying them out" can be expensive. The-King
Get something along the lines of a pair of Sennheisers or at-least something from a legitimately trustworthy brand (Sony, Bose, Koss, etc.). Headphones like what you are looking at are usually pretty, gimmicky trash with a disproportionate pricetag and little more in my experience (most of the reviews I read echo this sentiment). |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|

Thats true...with headphones buy brand names like mentioned above, any brand-name except skullcandies they do not last and are overpriced, and aren't really that great. Buying non-brand-name usually results in broken headphones within a few weeks.

Yeah, i'll mostly be using them at home. The King: Yeah been seeing loads of them Sennheiser around and the price is quite cheap. anus
I recommend the Audio Technica AD-FC700 or Shure SRH-440 (despite being 9 Euro more, a way better choice than the Audio Technica). These are proper high quality headphones. Should give you much better value for money and sound quality than the ones you picked out. Oh, and go to Head-Fi for loads of reviews on a lot of audio equipment. Highly recommend doing some research here before buying.

[SM]CJZera
Hm... What kind of problems can cause the whole screen to go Yellowish? Because when I turned it on a few minutes ago it had that, you know, like when you rub a magnet on a tv... Weird thing is, it also happened, although much more horribly, to another TV next room... And in both cases, unplugging and plugging seemed to solve the issue... So I'm wondering wtf could that have been...
Wolf68k
Power surge or some other form of "dirty" power. Make sure your TVs and computer and it's components are on a good quality surge protector...not a power strip. Really I just do it to all electrical equipment that I want to protect. Claude Speed.
I have a problems with videos on Youtube. I render them in pretty much max quality 8 mbps WMV with Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9 but they look choppy on YT compared to other videos. Should I use another format or can you recommend some settings?
Long Haired Freaky Guy
I would also try with a fresh/clean profile in FF and try to recreate the issue to see if it still happens. It might be something in your profile, like an extension, that hanging things up. Ya mean re-install FF? I would, but I don't want to lose all my add-ons, plus I don't believe it's add-ons causing the problem as it was doing it from the start. FF is staying open in my Processes for like half an hour now, or until I end Process manually, and it's bugging me due to the fact that if I wish to restart Firefox, it no longer does it. Also, what is the average 'mem usage' FF should be taking up?
Wolf68k
No. What I mean is to go to where the Profiles folder is (read below) and rename that folder so it's safe and not used, then start up FF which forces it to create a new profile then try to recreate the problem. If the problem is still there with the new profile then the problem is some place else. (Sorry I don't remember what you're original problem seeing has how long ago I made that post) If everything is normal with the clean profile then problem is within your profile, usually with one of the extensions or a clash between 2 or more. Profile folder locals: XP = C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Mozilla Vista/7 = C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla Don't worry about the folders within the Mozilla folder, just rename it at the Mozilla folder. Example: Mozilla-backup You could in some cases use Firefox Safemode but I've seen a few cases where they didn't change things enough and the problem was still there. Safemode is suppose to start up FF with no add-ons available but still give you access to your bookmarks and I believe your cookies, which is where the problem also might be in some cases. Long Haired Freaky Guy
Cheers Wolf, gonna try it tomorrow when I've got some time on my hands. New question, how the hell can I resolve this issue: The page isn't redirecting properly Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. * This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies. Wolf68k
Give me details to the site and exactly what you're doing when you get this so I can try to recreate it myself. In the mean time, as it says the problem might be a cookie issue. Here again I would try to also recreate it with the fresh profile.
