that quadbike would be nice to have in SA! smile.gif just make it smooth and fix some bugs on the model that may have occured when exporting. I think the old handling can stay. but it's your work atm. so you're the boss ^^

 

EDIT: my car is now complete! you can still comment it however you want. but I wont make any more changes on it. time to make another cool sports car! biggrin.gif and lets hope Neptoid is getting the factory rolling! I want 1mil copies of this car so everyone in the public can get it! NOW!

 

btw, what should be my next project? mercie_blink.gif maybe a 4door... or a cabriolet? hm.. I could try to make a car that's pure muscle! ah, whatever. we'll see devil.gif

my new car. Wildcat! it's supposed to look like a lowrider/muscle car on the front. and an realllllllly old car on the back. like the hustler.

good for you roberto! this car is being more detialed than my other (because I can make the stuff a lot quicker now since I learned how to solve problems on the Dragon. so here's a picture of one of the lot of detials that will come on it. these springs are already on it.

EDIT: I've made some more progress. it's going slower and slower because I need to keep the ideas coming. otherwise nothing will happen to the car. luckely I will texture it in a soon future. say... min 5h or max 2-3days. depends on how fast I will model it, or get the ideas.

Humptidum, I'm struggling with the engine of my Mustang so before I get my interest to finish it I started to convert Burners Murano. Not much to do anymore

here's some progress that took a while to make. but I made it. not as good as SPC. but it's good enough for my low- and highpoly car.

I've been cutting out the grill, front lights and front bumper. then put everything in a package and moved some stuff to make it look proper. so this time most of the car's front will be detachable. almost like Flatout. and I've added a vent on the bonnet. like a supercharger. just without that massive charger sticking out. and a spoiler on the back.

I dont have any picture this time. but here's some info about my progress:

I've made a window on the triangular thing in the back. fixed some things I saw was wrong and removed polys that you will never see. and the car is running out of space to add anything to exetrior. I dont know what you think, but the doors appears pretty small comparen to the front wheel height. but when actually looking at the interior it's enough (I think...). so if I cant get any good ideas to add on it soon. I'll start working on the interior and texturing.

the dexturing is done for now. time to make the objects right and then start working on the dashboard, steeringwheel, gearbox and the stick and the glovebox. if you dont know what a glovebox is I can explain for you: it's that locker thing on the passenger side of the car where you can stash smaller objects and magazines/newpapers. like a bunch of CDs or your mobile.

ok people! the car is now textured. I made a special design of my dash board... underneith the steeringwheel tounge.gif well, it isnt a real car, so who cares? mercie_blink.gif

I'm half done with damage models. so this car will probably become pretty done tomorrow (or later... I dont know what time the server is in). I'm too tired to bother about pictures right now. I will give you some when all the damage models are done so you people can see how my creation will look when comletely bashed up. and how it looks with no parts left on it. except suspension though. and this car is a success! I'm slightly thinking about a new front. like a old Dodge charter R/T. with the squari grill and 2 round lights. then I'm having a chance to make the front easier to modify for the damage models. hm... I'm thinking about to use the same textures for all my cars. I havent used the grill texture for the grills. instead 2 fance pieces laying in the trunk. but dont worry, it's only 4 polys with a texture all over it.

so it will probably come some nice pictures of a damaged car. or a new design of the front. if I'm going to redo it, all I have to do it just to move the engine a bit forward. make a more flat front bumper. add some polys on the donnet. and then make it of mostly squared and not triangles. just to get a better looking of normals.

Dude, that's just amazing work! I love it.. Everything you make is just so.. Perfect.. Maybe you could add a spoiler as an extra to it, like on the ZR-350, so sometimes it spawns with and sometimes it spawns without spoiler.. But just a little one. Keep it up!

Wow, I had no idea it would look that good ingame. The reflections are great, and the ingame rendering is so smooth. It looks way higher poly than it actually is. I love it. That is the best any of my cars have ever looked ingame, it reminds me of pictures taken of new Xbox 360 and PS3 racing games.

Nice wheel too. I would remove the blue and cyan saturation from the chrome, and the texture seems slightly off center. I don't see how you guys use sketchup wink.gif Looks like it would be hard to make realistic objects.

@ marfi: cool rancher. that gang is a real pain in VCS. they allways do drivebys when attack your factories. and the bad thing is that they are using a MP5. and when attacking their factories you're nearly dead when finished. well, nice looking of it. but it's something with the wheels that doesnt look right. make the spokes more flat. like a flower.

and "naked" without any parts. well, the window damage isnt done yet. so I kept that one on.

and just a question about my damage models: is it possible to have, lets say:

wing_rf_ok/dam and wing_rr_ok/dam in the SA engine? because the cars in SA dont have the front wing damage. and I looked at the trashmaster in VC and it had wing_*r and wing_*f in the hierarchy. if it is, please tell me quick before this car has all the parts it needs. or alteast before it's getting converted.

 

EDIT: I dont know if I've posted this before. but here's some extra detial. and it's lower poly than before. I shaved a lot of polygons on the suspension parts. and I might do it with other cylinder shaped objects. because a few parts like interior or in this case, suspension, you dont really have time to look at the detials when rolling over. and what I know the parts fly off then exploding. so there's no point of making interior and suspension parts highpoly. it's just a waste of polygons on something you cant inspect closely in-game anyway.

hm... should I lower the polycount of the springs too? oh... stupid question, I will. it's a bit hidden behind the wheels anyway.

Dunno about interior m8. If I see a nice looking realistic car with a low-poly interior, I always feel sad about it. It just ruins the whole car for me.

so I shoud still keep the things really look round. not just very good texturing to hide the polys? because some things may be too high poly. well, my wheels. but there's allways another way around that. only have wheel_rf and let the game do the math. and if you think a lowpoly interior looks bad, I might have to put some more detail to the seats. it's the same shape as GTA SA. the only difference is that I've made the bottom smaller and some shapes on the actual sit part. but not been working on how round it is. if you want I could allways fix that. but they are looking alright imo. I cant see the ugly edges with that texture. and it appears to be as polygones as another average car. like FlashG's plymouth duster. but I could try and see if there's a possibility to add more stuff to the interior. just to fill up the space so it wont look so empty.

 

EDIT: ok people! the Wildcat is now done! now I need ideas of a new car. and I will either edit this post or post in a new post with pics if I've got an idea before anyone of you have got time to say anything. I could try a SUV. but I'm not really sure... what do you people think? something looking like the landstalker and a hummer H2?
