All that UV mapping is paying off Auron, it looks great! Wish I could make  car that nice...

You can, it's a matter of patience. Being anal about every polygon placement, and not skimping on the detail. Wireframe shows how bored i got remember this is Zmod after all ...well, no wireframe til I get home, work at the mo .

Don't you love having every polygon arranged so it's perfect?

Eventually you have to let your child/creation take it's own steps into the world.

Like you say, It is really a matter of deciding when enough is enough.

A tidy mesh can't be beaten for making you feel proud of your work, my GeeBee will allways be my favourite and I dont think I will ever beat the mesh I created for it.

Nice to see that little red H badge on the NSX, I would swap the mugen for spoon badges but I may be a little biased.

i think i may of got it ingame unofficially but it would of been a hell old model so not worth looking for. thatd be good if you could, id appreciate it mate. i know for a fact i sent a big version of my sig to many people as it was my first cad experience haha. and its almost definately in an old feroci thread but...

 

i would of thought the images would have been gone forever BUT my sig is still there so...!

i have since checked my profile and it seems that alot more of my old posts are back! i have now found the link for the exact picture and it was...

Anyhow, i need some help please, i have done a musclecar skin, and i wanted to use on the sabre for instance, so i save a txd named "sabre1.txd" in the gta3.img and it doesn t work, (if i go to tranfender, the paintjob1 for the sabre is available but it is not my txd...)

 

If i save the txd for the jester "jester1.txd" for instance, it works...

 

So how it is possible to add some new paintjob for the original cars like sabre, blistac ...please ???

 

 

 

the txd problem will be fixed...

Don't Paintjobs only work for cars that have a single skin for a body texture? I'm pretty sure things like the Sabre wouldn't work, unless you mapped the skin to it..

Ahhhgg, I hate mapping for paintjobs. It's such a bitch. I've only done it once and it was with Zmod2, and it was a boring tedious task. Never again. Not worth it, imo.

If I did do it, it'd be for other people, and I mod for myself first, others second. And since I don't care if my car has a PJ (how often do I stop at TransFender??), why would I do it?

Same thing with body kits, although those are a lot more fun to do. Still, not worth it, imo.

nothing big on the update here as its been snowing like crazy and I have to work in it as I do snow plowing but thats good for me cause thats lots of hours and + $2/hr bonus on my paycheque every 2 weeks?! like McDonalds...Ba da ba ba baaaaaa...i'm lovin it!! However I wouldn't mind a few days here and there to work on this thing as progress is very slow!! sorry people!

 

anyways heres just a small update, added side mirrors which aren't 100% and also door handles which aren't anything like the real Jetta, as well as door lines to the hood, side door and rear trunk lid. ENJOY!

Current Gostown project now the Bronco is done:

 

UH69 Rainhawk.

Just been reworking the Raindance to make it more like the real Blackhawk.

Expect Marine, ARMY, Coastguard and civvy versions.

 

 

 

 

 

@Marfi: looks like something to do with the refmap judjing by the colours, maybe need to map the second UVchannel on the parts.

about supercars skin, maybe the infernus, zr350 and bullet will be interesting... i

@crazydude: I am not to sure. I want to keep it mid poly but with enough detail so it doesn't take up to much game space. I don't want it sharp or blocky looking like the SA cars. And ill make another configuration to the engine I guess, a VR6 knock off as well as a stock 4 Cylinder. Maybe a Diesel model as well. Who knows. Its all depended on how much time I get to work on it due to the snow.

 

So far so good the basic body is done minus a few minor details like under the front bumper and adding wipers and a gas cap and other little things. I might body map it but me and textures such as body mapping, are hard! I think the hard parts are pretty much done. Its mainly just getting the body right the way I want it and doing something about the textures.

 

more updates will come during the week if it doesn't snow to much.
