A bit of update with diffuse map :

From where did you get the unrealEd4.0?^^ Would like to take a look at it too, or atleast my brothers who are working more with the older ones than me. colgate.gif

 

School, to get it, you only have to wait some days, UT3 is out November the 15th.

Well the diffuse map must be making it looks kind of... wonky? That's the best word I can think of.

 

It just looks uneven and wobbly in some places. It looks ok, but the poly whore version was a million times better. Just my 2 cents.

 

@Pinky, looking good man! Can't wait to see how that SCM coding turns out too!

I have the two extra gear doors working properly and the cargo door also opens and closes with a button push, just working guns to add to the SCM part of things now.

On the model front, interior needs making still, spent the majority of the day yesterday working on the gear and doors.

Started some flight testing, just interior and some gear arrangements to work on.

Minor handling work to be done to sort out the rudders too.

Zomg! Whenever I made one it always looked kinda odd looking, but that just looks sex. I love the Bronco, even if 1000s don't smile.gif.

A word about Parox - you've seen his texture work in other projects, right? This thing is gonna be rediculous but amazing when you see him do the full treatment on it. And textures reallly make a difference, I learnt that well in flight sim modding.

 

I am curious tho Parox, are you new to modelling? Your work is bizarre - do you plan to somehow animate the wheels? I can't figure a way but that would be tripped.

As for Paroxum making the extra wheels work, four choices:

 

1. use the middle wheel dummies, downside is they willl move with the suspension.

 

2.Use the BF injection as the donor and rotate the flywheel dummy, set the wheels as one object with centered axis. Then just attach/place in heirarchy with the flywheel dummy.

 

3.Add them to the objects in the img file and add/animate them through the SCM.

 

4.Untried but I am sure this one will work. Go for the middel wheel dummies only this time make either both middle and rear left the back wheels and the other set the rotor/wheel gizmo. This should negate the wheels traveling using the suspension, depending on wheelsize in the vehicle ide of course. Only downside is that both the models rear wheels will react to bumps at the same time, losing their independance.

 

Tons of solutions to one problem.

Coastguard version of the OVD-69 Buckaroo is complete, just ARMY and MARINES versions to do.

This plane is being donated to Gostown as it has some SCM coding to go with it for the extra gear doors and cargo door.

Military versions will have weapons coded in as well.
