Since you're not on MSN Tchuck, I'll just post the idea here. The headlights, the way it looks in the last render you posted, they look like covers, which lead me to think that maybe you should make them covers, and have them roll upwards to reveal the headlights (same kind of mechanism as 1st/2nd Gen Toyota MR-2's. Just a different position).

 

And I still think you should make the rear license plate spot a little less defined.

@Tchuck, looking better and better... and better each time! I'm really liking it now. Very nice! Good idea saving it for GTA IV, that way you're in no rush at all

A total of 80K polys including interior shouldn't be a problem for IV, so if you go even more than that I'm sure it'd be fine by then. So don't skimp too much and make an interior that doesn't match that smooth sexy body

 

@Parxom, interesting concept. A bit hard to see much in that render, not enough shadows defining the body lines. Is that a jet/rocket I see sticking out the back???

I was always under the impression that larger but not insane size pics were fine in the PPT. I'm happy to view 1024x768, even if that is my monitors resolution.

I believe the idea was that 56k warnings were not required here, since it's obvious the topic will contain images larger in size (bytes, not res), but excessive page stretching is kind of irritating at times. Either way we don't have set rules - let your intuition decide what could do with a thumbnail or link.

I view on 1024x768 as well, however, the amount of actual sidescrolling is hardly "insane".

 

And frankly, I'd rather view Tchuck's SS render at that size. Makes the detail easier to see. I hate having to open a new tab just to view an image because it was thumbnailed.

I agree with AZO, Marfi thats a fantastic start and the mesh is very clean, poly placement is flawless so far, i'm actually quite interested to see how the progress continues on this beast. I love the colour too. Its also a whatever truck you call those we have them at work as well. 2 of them, flat faced things...I dunno but they are cool, unsafe but cool! good work!

Excuse the naff paint material and the excessive poly waste in parts. I've still got some work to do around the headlights, and there's a bit of a seam on the bonnet bulge I'll fix if I can be bothered. The rest of the car should be quite basic. It's a Jag D-Type Shortnose if you've not quite worked it out yet. Whaddaya think?

Yeah... I'm trying simple stuff first, because tackling poly creation and stuff first didn't seem right to me.
