Damn, man. Old classic cars always treated like trash.

 

I don't think it was treated like trash, rather he didn't seem to have a use for it. Same with that 1986 Buick Century that used to be our dad's, there wasn't much use it would be to him in the Marines. I'm just hoping they went to a good home after he put them up for sale.

@universe Since I dont know the entire story of the El Camino saga, trading a classic for a Ford Ranger....obviously he needs a more practical vehicle for his job related field. He should have keep the el camino, but he may not have to room for a second vehicle. He cant use the el camino as a work truck, it will get beaten up, so he traded for a ford ranger (a vehicle you don't really care,), you put dings scratch and fender bender, he will never cry.

 

@sargeantsavidgeback M4CK The good old days, reminds me of the GTA3 era... BTW ENB in San Andreas is terrible, I prefer the standard render and ashdexx reflection hack.

 

@SilverRST GTA4 converters are gonna go crazy on your model, though you have to model LOD1 (12,000 tri) and LOD2 (4000 tris) models. My old desktop i7 computer have no problem running cars with 300,000 polygon car.

@Carface80, they'll gonna be shocked when the car is finished. I doubt GTA4 will run properly when this car is installed.

I like GTA4 but only because of its powerfull story. The other things such as gameplay makes it useless for me to convert this car to GTA4.

Hopefully GTAV will change that.

 

And besides, the car already reached over 300k polygon in its current states . Yeah I know, man. Too much

but that happens when you really really love those vehicles and limits, f*ck the limits.

Hardware should be no reason to hold back the details and smoothness.

How about attempting doing the exact opposite of creating SWs,and turn SWs to sedans or other styles that come across your mind,as we got a few stations already such as the Solair,Perennial,Regina.. They could use a sedan variant too

I know there's already been a Regina Sedan mod and I don't wanna do something someone already did. I dunno, maybe I can f*ck around with the Buffalo and make it like an Opel Manta

I remember I tried to do that once but I didn't go far. I might end up doing something like that, either that or the Manta.

@sargeantsavidge The reflection hack allows the car mod's reflection map to show up properly, or else the reflection looks like a strange repeated pattern..

 

@SilverRST So far a Forza autovista car have max of 600K...you might exceed 1 million, make these forza boys cry

I really disguse those lazy Forza conversions, so many open holes, lack of door details and horrible textures.

I saw an El Camino for GTA4 but its seats are textured with some pimp textures. Really?!

 

And besides, I do have 2 other cars that exceeded 850k polygones. Too much details with everything including detailed undercarriage and door details.

However, I't's an exotic car which is the only two modern car (same car, coupe and roadster) I love. The rest can burst

But the changes this El Camino is very huge it will exceed 1M.

This is what I got so far with the Manta Buffalo bastard child. I'm thinking the hood could be black because it'll look like a scale model of a Manta I own that I used as a reference. I dunno what to do for the grille, though.

@universe use draw polygon line where the holes are then extrude and then push it in..alternatively just put a polygon plane over it with textures saves you some polygons.

It's funny because the Buffalo's rims are already really similar to the Manta B's "star" rims, so that's a good job on Rockstar's part.

It's fine, not only I have a "New Kids Turbo" poster on the wall behind me that has their Manta B on it, I've also got a scale model of one.

 

 

 

E. My buddy tested the SA Manta out and evidently the specular lighting is just stuck on the front. Any way to fix this?

Aztecas_5 fixed a similar mod for me a while back, but this one has added Spand Express logos on it and the rear windows were "embossed" in, like this:
