I suppose it's a matter of taste. btw, quite a lot of cars in GTA IV had this lowpoly look here and there, especially around the wheel wells.

ah, right now I get what you mean. I could increase it on my future models just to get the exposed shapes more roundness. I'll keep that in mind (I want to satisfy myself aswell as many other people as possble )

GMC K3500 CCLB

Assembled from several models by other authors (Even though I think they were all free models to begin with) so any possible release will never see the light of day here.

 

to do:

-start grafting the cab back onto the back of the Suburban cab

-finish the suspension (all scratch - needs to look good as it'll be seen on the lifted truck)

-organize textures - probably about 100 in the file right now, with only a few actually loaded. Need to just delete them all and texture the entire thing from scratch.

-scratch seats

-cab lights

-need to model a ZF6 and get the Duramax looking decent

-port my RBP-style grill over from the Suburban.

-various touching up

 

Hopefully this will be my first IV vehicle that isn't a Rockstar edit.

Yeah, looking at those seats gives me a headache, even in a first person racing game you wouldn't see that much details. Must've been made for a render or something.

Yeah, I know that's the reflection being applied. The problem is that it's being magically applied to every material. My tires shouldn't have any reflection.

Eventually it'll see it's way to SA, then to IV. It'll be released to other sites, as I can't release it here.

 

 

@CP: No luck. III seems to be overriding any specular levels I set.

I'm working on making the Solair a saloon car but I'm a real noob at using Zmodeler2. How do I delete those horrible polys I made stretching aross the back of the car and how do I create the window seals?

(I'll move the rear windscreen and boot marker later)

Please could you release it as I didn't see it on your gtagarage. I suck at the modeling but I managed to get the Blista wheels on the Solair. I like the look of steels for some reason.

The back wheels look smaller but I have since corrected that by making the wheel and collision very slightly smaller. It's now the same size as the original wheels.

I'd release it but there's an issue with the suspension and the wheels are too small, and the body color does not match the door color.

No, it's a Ford Flex. I hate how similar newer vehicles look.
