The rear wheel arch is a just a tad too low I think. It's supposed to be lower than the front arch, but not that low. tounge.gif

mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno.

It's at the right height I think..

It might be lower cos I kinda made the beemer look low monocle.gif

There's probably more fitting areas for this, but I'm assuming this is will get a little more attention here.

I'm trying to make a tubular frame for a 3 wheeler I'm working on, so I want to extrude a cylinder (with the ends uncapped) along a spline. When I do it, it seems to double it up, with one of them having the normals flipped. Any ideas how to fix this? It's so damn frustrating. This is in 3ds Max (2010), using the Extrude Along Spline under the modifier list of the cylinder object (which is set as Editable Poly).

Here's a damn early in progress shot of what I'm working on. The frame you see here is just a ROUGH outline. Basically all of this is just to get the dimensions and over all shape right. And don't worry about the engine and trans set up... it's not anything that's real. Just some ideas I have wink.gif

I like the wheels! Dont change them. Reminds me the back wheel of a Harley Davidson.

Spicy color tounge.gif

I do that selecting the edges and pressing shift, then move the edges would work like if you were extruding the poly, works great

Try that (select edges, press shift, move them)

@Chris: looks damn awesome. What happens with the suspension, isn't it a bit low? I love the modelling, very clean

Yeah I know.. But it felt kinda empty without an underbody yet lol.gif

Final version will be normal ride height.. dont worry wink.gif

@Vaderios, I'm assuming those wheels are just place holders... or at least I hope so.

@Jost, the shape I'm going for is too curved, and I'd like it too smoother to make that method possible.

But I cam here to post I figured it out, thanks though.

What I did was just reset the normals at 90 degrees, which separated them into two groups, selected the group I didn't want. Boom, done. smile.gif

I've got most of the frame mocked up. Now... I just need to figure out a body style that looks nice. Everything I can figure out to warp around that frame just doesn't seem aggressive enough for what I'd like.

@Chris_lolwut, looks great! You model damn fast! icon14.gif

Chris_lolwut, that's pretty impressive! Not too many polys, but at the same time it looks just like the real thing!

Not sure if this is the right place, but I found some really rare car mods for GTA:SA a while back. Don't want to post the files on any major mod site, since I lack permission and information from the author(s). I just want to share with the online community some screenshots I took of their works. Enjoy!

Here's one: Toyota MR2 SW20

Modelled this thing for about 1 hour. I was basing myself on the 2005 Mustangs, but I think I won't be able to make it just like it, but very similar, like a GTA knock off. monocle.gif

And I've just been informed I cant make a 2door e36 out of a 4door e36.. so I'll me altering the model some bits so it will be a 4 door after all.

Miklas, to be honest i think your models look the way they do because of the renders. could you just make a plain normal render?

Isn't that the Blender, VinnyGouveia? turn.gif

Yes, I think that I always had bad renders due to a combination of bad hardware and bad lightining. Now I can even render glasses and mirrors icon14.gif

I'm gonna do the back of the car next, or maybe finish the front and the bumpers...

@Chris: That beemer is impressive, I know that it's low poly, but it still looks awesome. Awesome modelling you've got there icon14.gif
