My first car that I've been working on for my college project. With a massive thanks to Tchuck for giving me tips and tricks and basically introducing me to new modelling styles. Thanks alot.

Yes, I use blueprints, although I could never find any for a '93 - '99 suburban, so if you have any, PLEASE pm them to me or post them here. That woyuld be an amazing help. Lack of BP's is one of the reasons progress is so slow on the suburban.

 

Update: rounded the front end in a little more (adds quite a bit of depth), narrowed the burb (it was too wide in the middle), and did a little reshaping of the taillight.

Nah, it should be nice and smooth. No problem with low poly, but he should have a efficient polyplacement. And some nice textures.

Just out of insane curiosity Puma, how many polys are on that lags-GTA-IV tire?

Looks awesome, but it is bloody unnecessary to have those many polys...

The problem with a tire like that is you could make a better looking one that is textured and usable in game.

I think the Impreza "shoulders" dont work well with the overall design.

Nice Design Kitteh, I can really see the Nissan inspiration. I like how you incorporated so many different design areas on this vehicle. The only thing that bothers me is the "flow" from the front wheelarch to the hood. It seems cluttered and fragile. Perhaps you can bring the line higher up near the headlight and blend it into the curve. The front is good, the rear is good, the roof is good. The front wheel arch looks warped in This View. The last thing that I want to point out is that you used a very industrial looking mirror on a car that looks more aerodynamic and sexy than anythign else. Incorporate some of the body design into the mirror and you will definately have to watch out, Nissan might steal this design. Good stuff.
