Ülfen
Hello fellow members, I have recently bought a copy of GTA San andreas and after playing it for a while I tought hey maybe I can create some skins for it. I have done lots of skins for other games. Anyway I got the IMG tool and opened the player.img and choose the leather (biker) clothes and extracted them. I opened them with txdworkshop and exported them to .tga format I edited the files and inported them to the txdworkshop again. I saved it as a .txd file, And now I replace the files with the IMG tool but when i start the game and go to the store to buy it. The game siply crashes I do not understand why so I beg you guys for help EDIT: Okay so i got it working sort of.. the pants seem to work but the jacket is f*cked up. -/TNT\-
Have you by any means messed around with the clothes.dat? It decides what textures apply to the models and it might have to do with your problem. donttry
you probably replaced the dff file instead of the txd file. i only started modding today and thats wat happened to me. game crashed every time i attempted to purchase or change into the gear that i modified Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/267326-skinning-problem/#findComment-4053766 Share on other sites
Mark
I doubt that's the issue as the fact the game would go spastic instead of doing what it's done. Well it appears no model is turning up, which if you've not edited it in anyway suggests a wrong type of .txd. Either corrupt (doubt it) or someone forgot to compress the image to DXT-1. If I were you I'd check that 1st. Also you can do a .dff check if you extract the relevant .dff from the .img file, then search for that exact .dff using the check function. If all is green then that's not the issue. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/267326-skinning-problem/#findComment-4055270 Share on other sites
