BIPI
Hi all! I am using Windows XP and I`m having problems whit my SA. The thing is that the mouse doesn`t respond during the gameplay, only on the pause menu but still you can`t open anything, you can just move it. It started in the end of the summer, but before that the game went almost perfectly . I don`t think that the problem is in the mouse neither in the installation, because I have tried 3 mouses and nothing changes and I got a new original installation DVD from my friend but there`s no difference, on his computer the game runs almost perfectly . In another site I found a guy who has the same problem, but noone helped him, so PLEASE HELP ME! gillies
If you have only tried USB mice try a PS/2 one if you have a PS/2 port. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/267197-mouse-prob/#findComment-4050451 Share on other sites

f_demon
Or as said on other places in this forum, Run GTA SA in Windows 98/ME compatibility mode. Just right click "Play GTA SA" and go to properties, the tab compatibility and select run in compatibility mode. It did the trick for me.
