And The bar reaches 100% 100% then it rebuilds, then gta sa killer comes up and sgfx hack then after i click back on gami it says "Installation of Mods is Complete" or something like that. then i click ok, then i go to open up gta sa then i click start game, then load game, then my save file, then it comes up, loads to about 75% and crashes. And while i'm installing at about 50% a thing pops up saying a bunch of numbers in different colors, then it says something in german (which i dont know) then it says "1 file(s) copied." about 13 times then my display properties window comes up, then i click ok, then on the thing that says 1 files copied, it says cannot install something or something. Supra4 Posted January 7, 2008 Share Posted January 7, 2008 I'm terribly sorry, but if it crashes at 75% that means one of the files in the gta3.img is corrupt or there is an invalid reference in any of the .cfg , .ide or .dat files ni the data folder. And since it isn't because of a mistake of yours, I guess it's a problem with the download or a compatability problem with your game version, the latter option being the most likely as I have the EU v1.0 with nocd and have no problems whatsoever. So basically you can forget about snow Andreas. But then again, that's no big deal really. You can't complete the game with that mod, as the reduced traction makes the ambulance, firefighter, vigilante and driving school missions impossible. On top of that I wasn't too impressed by it. Don't get me wrong, it's nicely done and all, but somehow the snow thingy doesn't work out in this game. You'd expect a car to leave tire marks when you drive in deep snow, but it doesn't. You'd also expect it not to leave black skid marks whenever a wheel is spinning/sliding, but it does. Call me a freak or whatever you like, but these small details ruined the whole snow experience for me. It's not the mod developer's fault, the game just doesn't support those features/possibilities. Jimi137 Posted January 9, 2008 Share Posted January 9, 2008 Im experiencing the same problem as the other guy - the game crashing at about 75% loaded System spec: 7600gt graphics, pentium d 950 overclocked to 4Ghz, 2gb ram, brand new 320gb hdd (loads of free space), good pc generally All other games and total conversions and unmodded SA work fine. I have the V2 Euro but have downgraded this to V1 I have tried the last 3 releases of snow andreas and also have the lastest english GAMI installed I want this mod so much and just dont see why it aint workin It does however work if i remove all extras and just install the basic snow textures. I also did a test and removed the gta3.img and replaced it with the original (all other stuff stayed the same) and it worked fine. It seems there is a problem with one of the files for the vehicles/added stuff in the gta3.img folder. With the GAMI file i tried installing everything but the vehicle mods and it worked fine. and yeh i tried swapping all the original files apart from the gta3.img file and it still didnt work. thnx 4 ur advice so far - keep it coming!
