In Zbrush itself, not realy. Alltough when i load it up in 3DS Max 7 it does. Probaly because 3DS Max 7 has a crappier poly handle then fo example 3DS Max 2008. (at least thats what ive seen in vids, so basicly it should be solved when i use 2008)

 

My setup:

Asus P5N-e SLI

Kigston HyperX 8 GB @ ~800mhz

Intel Q6600 @ 2.4GHZ/core

Nvidea XFX Geforce 8800 GTX  768MB

Yeah, to some degree that's because Max 9, 2008 and 2009 have backface culling which effectively reduces the polycount to half what it is in the viewport, rendering it MUCH faster

 

And of course newer is usually faster and more optimized biggrin.gif

 

I personally use Max 9 with this setup:

 

Abit KN9-S

Mushkin SP-2 DDR2-800 4GB

AMD Athlon X2 5600+ @ 3,0GHz

Leadtek GeForce 8800GT ZL 512

 

Max works pretty smoothly although I do wish I had a quad :<

I use 9, but it lags a bit while viewing 100K polygons models. And it will lag alot if i view +1 millon models confused.gif

 

I have to upgrade my PC....

Looks cool. Normal maps are a great tool to bring detail onto lowpoly models. Gotta love it.

 

I am making the Joker again for a Gotham Mod. My reference was this pic:

@Flat Face: Nice fingers, look pretty good. The nails might need a little more bending around the fingers. icon14.gif

 

Another update, the hair model is more detailed, but I removed the texture until I get around to mapping it properly.

This topic lacks both the pictures and the commentary to be any fun.

 

I'll contribute my latest project (also part of a Gotham City mod). Both images are WIP. Dent (and Dent's half of Two-Face) still needs hair and Mr. Ugly needs some more burnt off crap on his face and a nice texture

Thanks man. smile.gif Not really no, but with some luck I can rig the heads myself. The bodies I'm gonna make for 'em isn't as easy I'm afraid. These are also the first models with teeth and gums I made, so it should be fun (and hard) to make them talk. cool.gif

I know it says it's by Evilrex... but that's because I don't have a chance in hell of running IV and he's got it so I got him to send me the appropriate files... and behold... the Rocket Propelled Brick X)

 

The best bit is that it doesn't explode, it's just like throwing a brick, only much, much faster XD

This is my second ever model I've made (I recently made this tire). When I get back to my own computer, I'm going to put it into SA and replace the Grenade with it; hope you guys like it wink.gif .

I wanted to make another Terminator robot, this time highpoly-ish.

 

Nose area is hardish, I'm not sure how accurate it is right now.
