Well, here is the PPC for misc. stuff. I'd say, post anything that doesn't belong in the other PPC's here. I'll start it off with a player model I'm doing: I think it looks good so far. Left to do: His belt, pants, and rigging it. (which I probably won't be able to do myself) Making it right for GTA. At least that's my experience with topics dedicated to one WIP. So, I don't know, I guess it'll be used when it'll be used, but I do hope some people will show off their stuff here. I mean Ive only made one or two individual topics in the misc. section for weapons, but that was just modelling progress then thats where it stopped. At some point i was thinking of replacing the "CJD 500" console in CJs house with it or something......Does anyone know what that files in the IMG are for that?! Textures will be done fairly soon..... I know the face texture sucks, but I will replace it by a higher-res one. @KJ: Nice models, but you're right, they could use some textures. @92F: That gun looks great, dude, keep it up! Batman's belt and pants or whatever they're called are hard to make. And he's probably just for show, as it would be pretty hard to put into GTA. @BA: Nice wheel, dude. I want to convert some models from GTA3 to SA, ped or player, so if someone would send me some, PM me, please. Claude and Joey would be cool for starters. You should know better than to ask for original files... If you want to convert Claude, why not just grab the Claude model from LC? I'll be doing a ped version of this soon myself and plan to use LC Claude as my starting point. I too have been using Illspirits tips, and here's my converted "Mary" (HFYBU from Vice, using WFYBU from SA as a "base"): With the jaw moving (down position) With the jaw moving (up position) Using the IDLE_CHAT animation As a "skin" (using the SCM as a switcher) - need to work the shoulders a bit. Kind of ape-like here. Action Jackson! teun, that Batman is looking sweet. Nice idea for the topic; MODS, PLEASE KEEP THIS OPEN! EDIT: @Kinky: Model is SWANK_CONSOLE, Tex is cj_games. I guess I was a bit too enthusiastic about those models. I also did Tommy Vercetti as ped. If only it were just as easy for player models. After several hours converting and bringing it into Z-Mod for the material stuff (couldn't find anything on this for Max), I wind up with this: I can't figure out the weird shading; maybe it's because I scaled the model first (it was HUGE)? Anyway, it'll do for the 20 or so seconds I'll need it for. I'm actually not against democracy though. I'm against things I think are f*cking stupid. Or I could pay five dollars for the model I need and only have (had) to figure out how to get it in game. The model is actually really nice and detailed, but I used the Optimize modifier to reduce the sheer size of it. I'll take a look at the normals thingy, thanks. Batman's head and torso finally finished. The new eyes and face texture, and the torso texture really do make a difference, as does the slight modifying of his head and torso. 92F Posted March 11, 2007 Share Posted March 11, 2007 --- Trying to make a low poly-ish AI super magnum. Barrel is just temp for now and undecided whether to add two rows of pollies for the underneath, or just keep it as a single row. I know the scalling is off, its a bit too thick right now.
