Awesome ramp for "Insane Stunts"

OK, a lot of you probably already know about this ramp, but I'll post about it anyways. I found it kinda by accident, just riding around outrunning the cops, but came back to it afterwards. Within about ten minutes of messing around on it, I had gotten 3-4 Double Insane Stunts, and a Triple.

 

Pretty crazy, considering that I'm also doing it with just a keyboard.

 

OK, to seperate the sections, I'll put them in quotes.

 

WHERE:

 

This is near the mall in the north east corner of VC. It is just south of the mall, next to the on-ramp for the bridge. Map + pics of the area to follow once I get a new account up and running... My old filehost isn't reliable.

WHAT:

 

A neat jump that can easily get you triple insane stunts and 10k+ in less than ten minutes.

 

WITH WHAT:

 

Trying this with a car would be pointless, to say the least. I haven't tried a caddy, but I'm sure it's the same. Do this with a PCJ 600 (the best for ramps), a freeway/angel (you can get insane + double insane with this), or a sanchez.

Overall, the PCJ is the best, and the easiest to get $$$ with.

UPDATE: You can't do it with a Sanchez. Well, you can, but you won't get any money or insane stunts, and it's not nearly as easy as it is with a PCJ.

 

HOW:

 

Here is how to do it the easy way. Start from the sidewalk (on the far side of the street), and accelerate down the ramp.

Be sure to go down the middle path. There are three paths.

 

 

 

One is a sidewalk thing with a railing (good for grinding) that leads to a wall. It is on the left. Don't go down this one.

 

 

The next one is the middle one. It is a somewhat narrow ledge, but it broadens out as you approach the jump.

 

 

Accelerate down towards the stairs, and aim for the left side of the stairs. As you hit the bottom stair, pull back (like you would do to do a wheelie), and push right.

Try this a few times until you get the hang of it.

 

TRICKS FOR THIS JUMP:

One of the neat things about this jump is that there are quite a few things you can do.

• When going away from the jump to get a fast start, try doing a stoppie, wheelie, etc.
• Switch what direction you jump: start from the same place, but rather than going from the left to the right (on the stairs), go from right to left. If you time it correctly, you can do wallrides this way.
• Hit the pillars/railings at the base of the stairs. Most of the time you'll just fly off, but if it's just a glancing blow, you'll start to spin really fast.
• Try landing on cars. It's pretty funny if you land on a car that has an angry driver in it (the ones who drive away fast if you hit them/shoot them. About 1/4 drivers does this). They'll drive away with you and your bike on the roof.
• Try to land the tricks. This may seem obvious, but trust me, it's not. I can land about 1/4-1/5 jumps off of there now. On the other hand, I don't really try to land it, I go for the most spin possible.

Chances are that you will die within about five jumps, unless you cheat. I, personally, cheat, and I think it's pretty fun. (I've beaten it before, so... yeah. )

Get a PCJ from near the biker bar, head over to the ramp, and party.

Use the health cheat (aspirine on PC) to repair you and your bike. If you fall while trying to do a backflip (you can't do backflips...), you'll probably lose somewhere around 40 health. Be prepared.

If you get a wanted level, either cheat or use the bribe that is in the third path described above.

EDIT:

The craziest thing just happened. I was trying to do a grind on that railing next to the slope (going down to the stairs), and the railing got stuck in the spot between the body of the bike and the front wheel. The camera angle changed so I could only see the roof, not my bike, and then I found myself out on the beach halfway down the east island. Weird! When I got back to the ramp, my bike was gone.

Yeah, that's probably one of the best ramps in VC. I earned $400/$500 by doing a 720 on a PCJ 600. ) Nice thing to share with us all. ;o)

Try the fountain on Prawn Island-- thats one of my favorites (after Superjumps of course)

 

Check out some of the stunt vids if you want ideas... I'm impressed in their ability to make stunts out of things and places you had no idea where stunts were possible...

Another jump by the steps is to go N to S on the road just past the steps and wheelie into the left side of the break in the wall around the outside of the road. The break is past the steps on the right. You get some hight sometimes and land on the 2nd level on the outside of the mall.
