Gimpy666 Posted February 2, 2007 Share Posted February 2, 2007 Hey Everyone, After beating the game for the 4th time a week ago, I remembered I still had a few Ballas territories to claim. So I decided "hey... why not use a tank". So I hurried off to the army base...stole a tank, and drove it (without thinking) into CJ's mom's garage on Grove St. Now.... I cannot get the damn tank out of there. I've tried pushing it out by running against it, trying to hop into it, but nothing works since it takes up the whole garage. I even went to SF...stole a towtruck, drove it back to my garage, went to back it up to try and tow it but of course I got that "you cannot fit anymore cars in this garage" message. FelipeVinhao Posted February 2, 2007 Share Posted February 2, 2007 CJ's house's garage can store 2 vehicle - I mean by number, not physically (so it'll open if you bring a 2nd vehicle to it, even if it doesn't fit). I dunno if you can tow a tank either. Check if there isn't any other vehicle in it, go to the left side of the tank (right side of your screen), and pull it, so you have enought space to enter it - like you do with other vehicles, making enough room to open the doors. I just can't check now if the tank fills the whole garage - if so, I may not be able to get it anyway. Check if there isn't any other vehicle in it, go to the left side of the tank (right side of your screen), and pull it, so you have enought space to enter it - like you do with other vehicles, making enough room to open the doors. I went to the right side of my screen.... but how do u pull the tank. It's in the garage backwards.... meaning I parked it with the front end going 1st. I'm totally confused with what you mean by "pulling it". Also there is a stupid police bike mushed against the tank on the left side of the garage. So is there any hope of me rescuing this Rhino.... or am I better off not to ever open that garage again. Hopefully someone can help me. That's the problem I was worried it was happening to you. Can you send a screenshot so I can visualize how the vehicles are parked? I cannot send a screenshot since I'm playing on a PS2. Basically though, the police bike's parked vertically with the front wheel right against the back left corner of the garage. The left side of the tank is jammed against it. I cannot even move the bike. I have a bit of space to run around on the right side of the garage (right side of the screen). I was wondering though.... would that helicopter with the crane attached to it, that one you use to get that armored truck in the Heist casino missions.... I think it's called a Skycrane..... would I be able to get the Rhino out using that somehow? Here I am a seasoned veteran of all GTA games, and I make such a stupid mistake by parking the Rhino in that garage for what I thought would be 5 minutes. I feel dumb lol. I took over those last few territories with my minigun so no biggie. I'm just sad because that was a waste of a perfectly good Rhino. Knowledge Novice Posted February 3, 2007 Share Posted February 3, 2007 This may not work on SA, but if you want to remove the tank bad enough you could try parking another tank outside of your garage so that it stays open and blast the 'stuck' tank from a safe distance until it blows up. At least this works on GTA3 and VC. If you were to push a 'dead' vehicle into a garage and allow it to close the vehicle would be repaired, while on the other hand if the garage door were open long enough the destroyed vehicle should eventually disapear. This strategy was one I used to get a Cheetah with immunities on GTA3 (blow it up and push it to garage), but I never tried anthing like this in SA. Just a thought. And I wouldn't try moving the bike that is close to a tank - because of the game physics you may explode yourself doing so. I think you should find a way to remove the bike 1st. Then you can think about the tank. Notice that I'm guessing once I can't see the real situation. I then stood inside my garage...but all I saw was a burnt shell of a police bike that wouldn't disappear? Was I doing something wrong, fill me in here. radioman Posted February 4, 2007 Share Posted February 4, 2007 Here another option that works (at least on my game), put one more bike into the garage and wait a while, one of the vehicles will disappear-I had this happen several times on this garage and all I had in it everytime is one car and two bikes. One time, I opened the garage, and all of the sudden a pedestrian ran into the garage and stole one of the bikes that were in there.-this may work for you. On the first method I gave you, after you blow it up, push it out of the garage so the game's memory doesn't re-generate it in the garage. If you want to use a tow truck to tow one of the vehicle's out, there is a tow truck that spawns in playa del seville area across from the beach. just back a tow truck up to the garage a get out and back in so the door stays open. You need to be not looking at it in a way, you've probably blown up something before then looked away for a few seconds and when you turn around it is gone. Same thing with the bike. Or you could hold it open with something, run a short distance away, and it will be gone. The poster above me also has good ideas. I only store bikes (both pedal and motor) in CJ's moms house garage, and used the VC garage trick to park 4 bikes in any garage at any time. For those that don't know it - Exit the vehicle, wait until the garage opens, then get back in the vechicle and drive into the garage. Voila! But after some time the vehicle you just parked disappears... or worst: some other vehicle already inside the garage disappears. The time may vary, it could happen when the garage door just closes, the same way it may just happen when you save your game again. It may be different in VC, but in SA, it's like this for most people... Although it's said that you can store 4 vehicle inside every garage (as long as you make all them fit there) I don't trust CJ's house's garage - in fact I don't trust even put more than one vehicle there. I've stored a modded Sultan and a simple Mountain Bike once there (before leaving Los Santos). Done many missions and returned. Result: the Bike wasn't there anymore (I didn't know Ballas were bike thieves ). Now I have a 100% saved game and a modded Sultan and a modded Savanna there, but simply because modding my vehicles was the last thing I did before saving.
