Have you gone into recovery mode and enable vcscheatdevice371.prx?

Yes I booted to recovery enabled it as well as went to advanced and set plain modules to enabled as well. I have my game backed up to my memory card but I tried the disk as well and it didnt work....also I know its a non patched LCS disk because I used it to downgrade my psp....and that worked.

Hi. PSP noob here. I'm trying to import E.C.'s cheat device, but my PSP is 3.73, and his original one won't work, so I need to use the PRX file one instead. But my computer is using Windows Vista, not XP, and so my windows and things look completely different from the ones in the tutorial here in this thread. Can someone walk me through it? Sorry to be a pain.

First of all, if your firmware 3.73 Official Sony Firmware or is it custom firmware?

I haven't changed what came with the system, so if must be the official one. Is the custom easier? Should I get that? Do you know of a good download?

Well since you can just download a custom firmware and update it like any other firmware since your's is 3.73. Custom Firmware is better, yes because it can do many other things like different applications and options. The only way to get your hands on custom firmware will be the hard way. Look up downgrading with a Pandora's Battery on Google and you'll find some solutions. It's quite a long road and a it's a hassle.

But you need to use a CFW to make the blooddy pandora's battery!

I didn't say make a pandora's battery, I just said look it up. I was able to downgrade my 3.71 official firmware with a friend's magic memory stick and another's pandora's battery.

Woah, please., just use the edit button next time. >_<

And I'm guessing the reason why your PSP won't go into recovery mode is because you don't have custom firmware. Am I right?

i have got gta vcs cheat device working but i cant get the lcs one to

i am using a slim with 5.00 m33-4 and a phat also with 5.00 m33-4

-E:\seplugins\lcscheatdevice371.prx

-E:\seplugins\vcscheatdevice371.prx

-E:\seplugins\game.txt

ms0:/seplugins/lcscheatdevice371.prx 1

ms0:/seplugins/vcscheatdevice371.prx 1

(i think the recovery menu puts the 1 there for enable setting, so i didn't do that)

and i am not using the patched gta i am using unpatched euro version with 2.0 update

and i have enabled "plain modules in umd/iso" and the plugins (yes, they are there)

i am using "sony: np9660" but that shouldn't matter coz vcs works

and what are the objects.txt peds.txt and programing.txt for? could that be it?

also does it work with iso (im not using it now but i will when ive got it all working)

The LCS CheatDevice is currently incompatible with newer firmwares.

And loczek47 need custom firmware.

Wow, I have no idea how many times I've said that. mercie_blink.gif

Yes it does, very well, but not on cso, as it disables some cheats, like never fall off bike, and you car is indestructible.

Are you sure ?

Because I already used it with a (noncompressed) .cso and it worked aswell, maybe it depends on the custom firmware version you have ?
