Speed run for vice city

A few months ago I decided I wanted to try and get the record for fastest completion of the game, which means beating the last mission (Keep your friends close...) and not 100% completion. So I looked on the internet and found a few vidoes for the speed run, the fastest time I found was just over 2 hours and 14 minutes. I downloaded all the segments and found a few things out that I didn't know you could do (like in the mission with stealing the fastest boat, you don't even have to bother pushing the button to release the boat) So I tried my own speed run, it took me over a month of trying to get things right, and in the end I got 2:17 after the credits ended So I went back and redid the sunshine autos place (had a previous save point), managing to get the cars a little bit faster, although it took me like 7 hours to get the last 5 cars... I used this new file to finish the game and got 2:13 after the credits played, so I beat the best record I could find. My questions are- how many of you have tried the speed run for VC? What are your times? Anyone have better than 2:13? And don't ask for me to show you proof or whatever, it doesn't really matter if you know I have beaten the online record or not, I was just curious about those 3 questions.

 

And if you want to see what I did to finish the speed run, just go to google and search for that guys speed run, I did pretty much the same things except I did and extra cone crazy to make sure I had enough cash to buy all the assets I needed. Cone crazy was done right after the strip club, it's on top of that parking complex, you just have to keep beating your old record to double your previous winnings, the last one I did won me over 100k. It also seemed like he drove a lot slower, and took his time to slow down to turn corners, while I drove as fast as possible usually The other thing I think was different was that after cone crazy, I drove my stallion and bought sunshine auto's and put the car in the garage, and then continued on to Kaufman cabs and did those missions. I also saved a few seconds after cabmageddon, in his speed run he drove to the boatyard and saved it, I didn't save it between cabmagged and checkpoint charlie to save time making the boats respawn. Even though I redid my original sunshine auto's car collecting, I still had trouble, the cars never seemed to spawn in front of the place like they did for him, it wasted just a few seconds overall, but it was a big burn out when I tried for hours and hours to find the Idaho to finish the list. I found out that it would only spawn downtown for some reason, so I added some time to my speed run to get that car... maybe because it was on my PS2. I also took an extra few seconds after V.I.P. to stop and get the shotgun near the airport sign, I don't think I really used it for anything except to kill Sonny, which seems like an easier way than the rocket launcher. Which means I also wasted some time getting rocket launcher ammo thinking I would need it lol. Also in my speed run, my first save came after 'the chase' I think because I absolutely hate redoing that mission, it saved me a lot of griefing for perfecting the second segment (segment means the parts in between saves). I think thats it, so if you want to beat this record just look for the video on the internet and do the things I just mentioned to make the game go faster. Oh, one last thing, I screwed up the phone calls, I didn't know how many I had left, and I ended up taking the second last phone call going into vercetti estate, just before the final mission so i had to save it and take the last phone call standing there doing nothing (for those that don't know, you can't cancel phone calls so to save time you need to get out of your car before you get to your destination and walk the rest of the way while taking the call) I also discovered an easy way kill the traitor in the final mission. Have your handgun out (the one that is given to you at the beginning of the mission) run up to him and past him, he'll reappear at the end of the hall and shoot at you, then will disappear and be at the end of the hall again. You must target and try to fire your gun right next to him before he disappears the second time (this will not actually fire the gun, Tommy will punch him, and he'll fall down) then quickly switch to that automatic shotgun and finish him while he's lying on the floor. Sorry if this idea has been mentioned before but be aware, once you go back to the stairs where the next cut scene happens, it takes a while before the cut scene will activate. So anyway, can I get some answers to those questions? and also any comments on how to make the run go faster are welcome.
