GTA3Freak-2001 Posted April 21, 2007 Share Posted April 21, 2007 Regarding connecting your 360 to Live and thus the Internet since you are using Wi-Fi you'll need to buy the Xbox 360 Wireless adapter otherwise you'll have to go back to using cables as in running a Ethernet cable from your Router to the 360. Your ipod should work fine, although you'll be prompted to download the patch which allows ipod connectivity but that's no problem. I've got an old 20GB ipod and it works fine but I prefer to just have my 360 stream the music off my PC for easy access. For those who downloaded the C&C3 demo, how are the controls? kingvercetti Posted April 21, 2007 Share Posted April 21, 2007 I'm thinking of buying a VGA cable because my TV/Monitor/Thing With Pretty Pictures supports it, and I hear that games look best on a resolution as close the the TV's native as possible, now I'm currently on 720p over component, so if I use a VGA cable on 1360x768 (the closest to my TV's native 1440x900), would I notice any pretty major differences or would it just be a waste of my money? Yeah I heard alot of people complaining about that, it shouldn't even be on the list given to PAL territories in that case. I have something else right next to my PS2 on the shelf, right now, and it's a snug fit. I want to know if I'd be able to fit it in there. 2. I'm thinking about getting a thin PS2, so it would sit nicer on top of the 360. Is it a good idea to set it up like that? 3. My router is a bit of a distance from where the 360 would be. Does it come packaged with WiFi or whatever it's called, or do I have to get something for that? Thanks. EDIT: I figured some of them out, all I still need to know is question 2. I honestly would not put anything on top of the 360 as the top of it gets pretty hot and you would be covering up the ventilation holes. I think they were wireless attachments from other brands. The 360 wi-fi dongle is a rip-off. If possible use an Ethernet cable. Much cheaper, faster and secure. I bought a chrome bezel for it for 50 bucks and installed it without voiding the warranty. Now its gone. I am going to contact them very soon and tell them my voice on the matter. That would be why I guess you've lost the bezel as they have simply given you a new Core console. Mine had a little scuff marks here and there, while this one is brand-spanking clean. If it is my console somehow, I know they replaced the entire shell. The only thing earing some degree of use is a little scrape in the AV input area. They replaced the shell because something happend during repair, maybe? It's still fishy. Tell us what Microsoft says when you get their response. So are you using a TV or a monitor, kingvercetti? I'm not sure how much better the picture can get from 1280x720 to 1360x768, it's probably not even noticable. The adapter is around 45 USD so I wouldn't bother. It will cost 800 microsoft points from what I hear. I don't know how many I have, I need to check... Anyways, I really want them. I love how the maps are suppose to be interactive. Like how in one you can break the generator making the power go off which makes the Kyrll attack anyone left outside in the dark. Or in the Gardan where you can get stuck inside the green house and get hurt by pestiside. Sucks that it is going to cost something, but for those who can't or don't want to pay you can wait till sept to get them free. It’s the ‘Hidden Fronts’ map pack and it’s dropping this Thursday, May 3, at 9 a.m. GMT The map pack is 800 points in which you’ll get four new multiplayer maps: Bullet Marsh: In this Kryll-infested swamp, an old generator still powers the area lights. A few stray bullets could easily knock out the generator, leaving combatants to fend for themselves against the Kryll. Garden: This overgrown and crumbling conservatory still has a working fertilization and pesticide system. This system can pose a serious hazard to anyone who ventures into the greenhouse without first venting the air. Process: Teams must fight for control of this subterranean Imulsion processing plant, still active despite the cessation of the Pendulum wars. Subway: Timgad's Central Subway station used to serve as a central hub for commuters. Now the tunnels are crawling with Locust.
