CRS_AaronG
I'm finding it impossible to beat the mission "Stowaway" due to the acceleration on the PCJ-900. I tried editing the stats on the bike but couldnt find the bike in the handling.cfg it's obviously under a different name. So if anyone could tell me what the alias is or the name of the plane in stowaway so I could screw with the stats, I'd highly appreciate it. Apparently the way my game lags makes my vehicle slower than everything else. Lioshenka
OMG you wont get anything after messing with handling files. andromeda is moved by script. Period. Your computer is rubbish, no offense, but it is. Just like mine was and just like i spent 6 months before getting a new one to complete that mission. Get a job, get some $$$ and get a new PC. Good Luck. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/266251-just-a-question-about-stowaway/#findComment-4032724 Share on other sites
FelipeVinhao
Or while you don't buy a smooth PC, low the graffic quality while doing this mission. It worked for my older PC. Wa-sh
- Don't keep any music in your User Tracks Player. - Set Draw Distance minimum, frame limiter ON, widescreen off, AntiAliasing off - Reduce the resolution of both your desktop (display properties) and in the game to 640x480, 16 bit. - Turn off audio, radio, radar, hud, subtitles, - Turn off Anti-Aliasing BumpMapping, Pixel/Vertex Shading, Anisotropic Filtering, -etc from your Display Adapter properties in Windows. - In windows, Goto start -> run -> devmgmt.msc . Rightclick on all devices that you don't use and disable them. Like, I disable my modem, the COM/LPT ports, my infrared, bluetooth and wifi, etc. For network adapters, goto control panel -> network conenctions and disable all network adapters there. You definately won't been needing the net while playing singleplayer GTA. - Goto start -> run -> msconfig. Choose "Diagnostic Startup". Restart your pc, it'll be much faster. Now play the game. After you're done, go back to msconfig and choose "Normal Startup" and reboot to get all your startup programs back. - VERY IMPORTANT: Defrag your drive completly! If possible, give San Andreas a seperate partition to itself. For defragmentation, I recommend using Raxco Perfect Disk. Finally, using Hare from Dachshund software will improve graphics performance. Although, a format + fresh windows install will also do wonders. Consider a format+reinstall your last option. Edit: The Frame Limiter option has different results on different computers. First try playing with it ON, if you're unable to do it at all, try turning it OFF. ---- Now for the actual game, the trick is to keep tapping the UP arrow key (or whatever your key is to shift weight down) while moving forward. Keep tapping up so CJ will bob his head down, this will make him go much faster. Practice this first on the airstrip with the pcj before attempting the mission. keep to the right side of the airstrip and move to the center only when your almost near the plane. don't make any extra turning movements. you should get it in 5-6 tries, if you don't that means you're doing the bobbing thing wrong.
