Darvinho Posted January 29, 2007 Share Posted January 29, 2007 Two things: 1. I wish the talk show stations were longer so the loop isn't so obvious. Somehow in Vice City, it wasn't as noticable. In San Andreas the scripts were super short. 2. On the issue of rock and rap. I hated both 80s music and rap before GTA. Especially rap. When I first played SA I just went ahead and turned the radio off. But the old school stuff totally grew on me. It's been forever since I've played SA, but I still catch myself jumping out of the shower singing Lynch Mob. I agree, Id like the chat radio to be longer, its always been one of my favourite stations to listen to. Itd be awesome if the loop was really really long. Id love to be driving down 'Cold Harbour Lane' listening to that. Its a kickass tune. However, as long as their is the option to have your own tunes in-game then everyone will be able to create their personal radio station. Adverts between tracks was in San Andreas, and I am quite sure that if GTA4 has a radio, it wil have them too. But, in SA the adverts were too few and got boring as hell. Nothing against the genre and sub-genres of rock because I listen to rock myself (along with a lot of other types of music). But, you know at the most Rockstar is only going to put maybe two rock-only-dedicated stations in the game plus a few other songs on like a mix/variety station (if they add that). as much as gunit sucks they'll probably be in the game too... 50 cent would blow a load to get a chance to be featured in a REAL videogame. and with rock i have a feelin there going to get these newer rock bands in there which will suck. but im lookin forward to just playing the music thats on my console alrdy. good topic tho, alot of good ideas if they do happen. I don't want to buy a game (esp GTA) to listen to f*cking chart songs. Best thing is get some quality undergound tracks from each genre. Well, say 60% of the best qaulity music that isn't too known so we learn of new music/tracks and 40% stuff that is known. Otherwords generally tracks you wont find on artists' 'Best Of..'s' but not strictly. If you know all the tracks already, you will be sick of them and you don't want to ruin quality f*cking tracks cuase you've been playing GTA all day. I'm gonna to put tracks I know but would prefer tracks I don't know by artists I have respect for. The best way to find something good for the radio would be after we know it's where it's set, lead charachter etc. If it's London/Europe: Got to have a madchester radio sataion. These aren't my fav bands. Just thinking of how it fits into GTA. Today's rap/R&B? Please no. On a side note I would like a station strictly, downtempo chill music, Sounds from the Ground, Zero 7, Groove Armada. If you don't like this type of music, just don't listen to it, simple. Rockstar are just giving the people what they want. Anyway, I'd like it if there were more talk shows and more rap stations other than one or two. I'd like there to be a east coast and west coast radio station each playing their own unique styles.
