KinkyJedi Posted January 23, 2007 Share Posted January 23, 2007 (edited) Hey I am trying to rig a ped model for SA by following creative madman's new tutorial (which BTW is very good). Its not the first time ive done it but near enough. Obviously the problem is that it crashes the game, what im uncertain about is why. The model was 2 seperate objects, body and head, each object has a seperate texture, i applied the textures seperately and then attached the head to the body (using 3DS MAX 8) and chose the top option for the material assigning. Then i set up the skin and envelopes, which im fairly sure i did right and exported to find the game crashes. Does anyone know why?.....my best guess is two textures on one ped model doesnt work in SA. If so could anyone give me a better solution to fixing it than moving all the textures around? illspirit Posted January 23, 2007 Share Posted January 23, 2007 Try using the same multi/sub-object material on all the parts instead of letting Max assign separate materials automagically: Then at the face/poly level, use the surface properties rollout to assign the sub-mat's: My new ped works fine in game with two materials like that.
