TheDude5000
Now I'll admit I'm not a real big RATM fan, I'm only familiar with a few of th eir songs, but I do think they're a solid band. It's also great to see another good 90's band re-uniting. http://www.ratm.com/ Apparently, they're re-uniting to headling the three-day Coachella festival. First, Alice In Chains. Then, Soul Asylum(who formed in the 80's, yet arguably are known for their 90's alt-rock) and Blind Melon. Now, Rage Against The Machine.
beanmachine43
Damn, that's weird. I was just looking them up on Wiki a couple days ago, wondering how long it would be for the pieces of the dramatic re-uninion to fall in place. That's cool though, let's hope they won't totally fall apart and rip each other's throats out like re-united bands of past... On second thought, twenty bucks on de la Rocha. beanmachine43
Any word of a possible album in the works or collaborative album? I know it's unlikely, but how great would that be to see RATM come out with some new material?
a_fool_from_edinburgh
RATM together again. YES! Love them so much havn't listened top them that much latley but a veryu influential band in my life. Hope they play some UK dates and that it isn't a one off. It'd be good to see some new material though they'd be pretty hard pressed to beat their older work.
PCJ.
As much as I found Rage going to sh*t by 'Battle for LA', if it spells the end for Audioslave, I'm all for it. Obviously, I'd kill to see their early stuff.
a_fool_from_edinburgh
Personally I like Battle for LA alot, though it did seem a slight re-work of Evil Empire still loved it though. Anyway where the hell do I get tickets for this festival? What is the nearest international airport? Just seen the complete line up Bjork, DJ Shadow, Tiesto, Felix da Housecat, Manu Chao, Infected Mushroom AND Rage?!?! Sounds f*cking epic if you ask me. I need to be there. Am going to be able to think of nothing else now, Anyone been to this festival previously? Whats the organisation like? What about law enforcement etc
Cartel Killa
Just heard this on the radio the other day. I couldn't be more happy for them. Maybe this will evolve into something bigger as well.

Vanillainy
Since the Prehistoric ages and the days of ancient GreeceRight down through the Middle Ages Planet earth kept going through changes And then the renaissance came, the times continued to change Nothing stayed the same, but there were always renegades Like Chief Sitting Bull, Tom Paine Dr. Martin Luther King, Malcom X They were renegades of their time and age The mighty Renegades RATM || Renegades of Funk : One of my fave songs ever, its awesome. This is good news, would like to hear some of their new stuff now. Wonder how it would compare. FunkyChunky plays some RATM
Twang of Cauliflower
^Thats a cover, btw. That's pretty awesome. Hope they tour. The Pixies reunited, too, to add to your list of 80s/90s alt-rock bands that have came back. Lost-Fender
^ "Of" is not part of the song name. These are excellent news! Hope they won't split up again, because this band seriously kicks arse! for de la Rocha.
a_fool_from_edinburgh
Holy f*cking sh*t. How much does a plane ticket from Edinburgh to LA cost? LOL that was exactly my first thought! Managed to see some tickets for £325 return which seems really good plus ticket which is like 170 or 180 inc camping (ithink may well be wrong here) plus living for 4 days (i'd say £300 (lets be extravagent!!) so a grand total of about £900 in all I'd definatley pay that and was very nearly about to when I remebered I'm moving into a new flat on monday so I'm gonna be skint for the next few months Ach well
just another thug
I looked for tickets on ticketmaster.com and they aren't selling them online I guess. Very disappointing.
Haifaiv
Tickets don't go on sale until Saturday. sh*t, I really hope this isn't just a one-off. I know it probably will be, but they're one of the bands I really wish I'd seen while they were still around. I don't even listen to them much anymore, but I'd love to see them live. topdogkiller
I still can't believe this. If audioslave dismember's, then maybe cornell might be able to reunite SG. Of couse he'd have to get matt shepard from pearl jam.
darthYENIK
I might go to this. But I can't stand a lot of the other bands playing there.
