New police Car

hi there, im working on a police car, i modified the default one, ill keep modifing default stuff whilst im learning how to use Zmod tounge.gif , nevermind, it got square shaped police light, new deltas, the textures are kinda weird, but im just showing the model, soon i will smooth the textures, here r some pics:

the windows r like green, and i still gota put a "destroyed window" image...

Note: i added new color on the car front, a white line biggrin.gif

look dude, all you did was deleate some textures for no reason, and swap the engine texture. not thread worthy in the slightest.

Give the guy some slack guys, everyone starts somewhere. He's doing well for learning the workings of zmod, this is how I learnt - hell car modding began with texture edits back in GTA3's days - and that's virtually what modding the first GTAs involved. Keep it up Silberio, the more you practice, the more you learn. smile.gif

 

Oh and Picolini - that's spamming - you should know better.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.

Sorry, I was just at a loss of words at the time.

 

To explain what I meant by the smiley,

Make sure that your damage parts are textured and the properties have the UV Channel set to 2, in that one picture the windows are all solid.

 

Also, I thought VC cars already had 3d engines, so I'm not really liking the flat and wobbly texture you replaced it with. You might, but I don't think it fits the car one bit.

 

But as STM just said, you're new and you need to start somewhere. Keep up the work, I'm sure you'll get better in time.

damn i need to learn how to model . . . and btw, vice city didnt have 3d engines

well...ther's no 3D engine, so..i replaced the normal low res engine texture whit a new one.

@richard the pissed: i changed the police lights, they r slightly more square shaped, there's some missing textures, but thats because its a Work in progress.

 

but thx, guys, specially Suction Testicle Man, and Knowledge Novice biggrin.gif .

 

PS: im learning everyday soemthing new in modding, i allways check the tut's, so for now, dont expect a beutyfull, 100% modded car, LOL tounge.gif

Just keep up the work. It looks like you've got an understanding of texture mapping which is a good start.

theres an "ok" and a "dmg" window model, just texture the damaged object with a cracked window alpha texture (check the default one for referrence)
