ARMEDnPISSED
Alright. I connect my modem to my router. I connect a ethernet cable to the first port and the other end goes in my computer. My second ethernet cable goes into the second port and I connect it to my laptop. Problem is, the Internet works fine for like 30 minutes then I get disconnected. My modem is fine and so is the router. Everything is connected to where its supposed to be. This is really ticking me off cause I can only have Internet for my computer (because I'm connecting directly from the modem). Anyone know why this happens? Kaj.
I'd check the hardware for issues. Go straight from the modem to the computer and see if that works for longer than a half-hour. If it doesn't, then check the method I outlined below, or your modem isn't working. If it does work, then it may be an issue with the router. Assuming the modem and router are fine, then you may want to check the DSL (Phone) line going to the modem. I had a very similar problem and the DSL line going to the modem was f*cked. I tried it on another line in my house, and it worked fine. So take the modem, router, and your laptop and try another line somewhere else in the house. ARMEDnPISSED
Well, I can't really do that because I also need Internet access for my desktop computer and I can only find 1 more phone line in my house which is right next to the kitchen. I don't want a long ethernet cable running from the kitchen to my room.

He's not saying to do it for good, just to test it. ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~
IcedOut
This used to happen to me while I played ps2 online. All I did was switch the port on the router the cable was coming from and it fixed it. Worth a try...
