GTA fan
i took out my ram and checked it and its a 256mb infineon. other info it says on it is. 256mb, DDR, 333, CL2.5 it also says on it somewhere 32mbx64 SDRAM. so im confused whether its SDRAm or DDR cause it says both on it. it also says PC2700u-25330-AD. i hope all this helps. Tornado Rex
You have a 32MB internal graphics card. That's why it's showing you only have 224MB of RAM when you have a 256MB stick in there. Chances are you won't be able to play the game unless you get an actual graphics card anyway. IMO, you'd be better off just looking for a new computer. If you still want to upgrade your RAM though, just make sure it's DDR and not less than PC2700 Edited January 21, 2007 by Tornado Rex ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~
Brutuz
He could have DDR2, We need to know his Motherboard model, etc to know though. Whats your Motherboard? If you need to get CPU-Z and look at the mainboard part.
Pranjal
He could have DDR2, No way.DDR2 RAM sticks are only available at frequencies 400Mhz, 533 ,667 and 800 Mhz. Today the bare minimum for DDR2 is 533 Mhz. So, his RAM is DDR type only which are quite rare nowadays and may cost a bomb to upgrade.
Deuce Deuce
Yeah, your internal graphics card knocks off 32mb your system RAM as it's intergrated. If I were you, I'd order a 512/1024MB(1GIG) stick of RAM and a normal modern graphics card (I'd go with a GeForce, personally). Your system should then run noticeably smoother and a lot better while running games.
Fozzy Fozborne
DDR2-333 is definitely a possibility, but it's almost impossible to find, so I'd think he had DDR. Yeah, running AOE3 with integrated graphics and less than a gig of ram would not work (unless you want it to look like a slideshow). What kind of computer do you have now? Basically any of these will work: RAM Options If you have a PCI-Express slot, then I'd highly recommend getting one of these 7600GT You could have 5,000 gigabytes of RAM, but with an integrated graphics chip, it'll still look like a slideshow.
