Mixolydian
When I played on my brother's PS2, I found that the 6-start chase was MUCH easier (meaning much less fun). I was standing up on my favorite building in San Fierro...the one with the angled light-blue glass that you can climb on, by the "Big Tall Building" and the Police station. When I'm there with 6 stars on the PC, there are a few tanks, and some military trucks, usually two helicopters (luckily one is usually the news chopper), cops all over the place, and general mayhem. On my brother's PS2, it was more like I'd see a tank and maybe a truck, occasional cops on foot, and a helicopter.

fareed
You Get Best Graphics on PS2 without even thinking of having a high tech pc
segvirion
best gfx on ps2? you gotta be kidding! ps2 gfx are blurred and low-res, lots of signs are unreadable, jaggies are everywhere. on pc you have higher resolutions, you can use filters (AA and AF) to smoothen out things, everything is clearer and crisper. granted, you have to own a decent machine if you want to play it smoothly with everything cranked up to max, but for those who own such a system the game is lightyears ahead of the ps2 version in terms of graphics. Mixolydian
You can definitely lock on to targets in the PC version. And yes, you can use a gamepad. I use an XBox controller with a USB adapter ($5 part) with the XBCD driver. There are other gamepads that will work as well. The PC graphics are better, more clear, and more detailed, though none of the versions of GTA SA have amazing graphics. But it seems we still haven't identified what the PS2 does that the PC doesn't. manofpeace
Actually, it's what the PC can do that the ps2 can't! on PC, you get mods, better graphics, less chance of locking up if you use normal cheats, those broken cars and trashbags on the streets in the 'hood (if that's better to you), a user track player (haven't tried it yet), and more choices on how you want control CJ and steer. DRIVE CARFULLY TO SEE HOW HORRIBLE EVERYONE ELSE IS AT DRIVING!!!
Brutuz
On ps2 you can lock on aimand pc you cant its manual aim all the time with the mouse There is Auto AIm, You have to use a gamepad though.
gillies
Changing to the gamepad option in the settings will enable auto targetting with a keyboard if you don't have a gamepad.
Vert
on the graphics tip, did anyone know you can change ps2 settings for higher quality graphics, also some tv's have sharpness options, so for max graphic appeal, put your sharpness on 100% and switch your ps2 to high. I think it may take a tiny bit longer to load but it's way better. can anyone enlighten me on what other ps2 settings are changeable? and what the downsides are.
