The website is run by humans. Humans are flawed, and thus, can make mistakes. It could possibly be a mistake. DexX Posted January 21, 2007 Share Posted January 21, 2007 LCS on ps2 wasn't announced until February, of last year if i remember correctly. *IF* they follow a similar pattern for vcs:ps2, assuming there is one, they might simply be waiting to announce it. Yes, you should always wait until R* announces something before jumping to conclusions. fareed Posted January 21, 2007 Share Posted January 21, 2007 It's been all but confirmed by Rockstar themselves now, the question many people have been wondering about has finally been answered. Vice City Stories does indeed look like it's coming to the PS2 after all. Many people speculated that Rockstar would not bother porting the game to the PS2, seeing as we will see the release of Grand Theft Auto IV this October dwarfing all other GTA games, but a search on the official ESRB website for "Vice City Stories" now lists a PlayStation 2 version of the game too, with the same 'M' rating and descriptors as the PSP version. This means Rockstar must have submitted the game to them. See for yourselves on the ESRB(this is the link) Search page for "Vice City Stories". We'll hopefully have a press release from Take Two soon, confirming that this is correct. Stay tuned for more VCS and GTA4 updates. This now means GTA SAS are probably more likely for October 2007 release on PSP P.S. Anybody tried contacting ESBR or Rockstar to confirm this ?? Either way you dice it, VCS is more breathtaking on a PSP than it will be on a PS2. We're gonna see a whole new Vice City! if its like lcs, you'll see exactly the same thing, in a slightly higher resolution, and without the multiplayer component. but, nonetheless, i refuse to buy a psp, so this is pretty sweet. and if it comes out @ $20 dollars again, its hard to complain. GTA3Freak-2001 Posted January 22, 2007 Share Posted January 22, 2007 I've always said that the game deserved to be played on a bigger screen, I think a lot of the tweaks Rockstar made to the city to give it a more Miami vibe mainly with the lighting went to waste on the PSP's small screen. I would defiantly buy the game on PS2 just to experience it on a bigger screen. For the probable cheap price you can't really complain even if you did already buy it on PSP. I played Vice City Stories on my little nephew's PSP, the graphics were good, but the control is crap, and that little tiny analogue stick is not easy to use.
