The picture above was posted because someone thinks it's funny to watch the topic get a star, then rate it bad untill the star goes "poof".

Prologue

Hello there, I’m the narrator, but you can call me Pat. We won’t be talking much though, because I’m here to tell you the story of a war; a war for Staunton Island.

The year is 1995. In Portland, ferry workers have started their strike over the

announcement of the tunnels. In Shorside Vale, the only activities are the occasional

looting by Catalina and Claude. In Stauton Island, there is a war, between the Purple Nines, and the Yardies. In late 1994, the Purple Nines were forced out of Portland by the newly arriving Sindaccos, coming from San Andreas. The Nines were outnumbered, outweaponed, and so on. They were forced to move on to Staunton, and fight against the Yardies. The Yardies like their home in Staunton though; the apartment that will belong to Claude Speed in six years, Asuka Kasen in five years, and Kasuki Kasen in three.

Our main character is Jamal Ramos. At the age of 7, his parents were killed when their car was rammed off the side of the ferry terminal. Jamal was going to the bathroom, inside, so he was not injured. The Yardies thought he would make a good solider, and raised him from then on.

Now, twenty, Jamal has to help his Yardie guardians fight off the Purple Nines, or face losing their home. Will he succeed, or will he be living on the street, like he would’ve been if it wasn’t for the Yardies so long ago?

Chapter One

King Courtney: Get ready Jamal, we be gettin’ closer mon!

Jamal looks down at his lap, deep in concentration. On it sits an Uzi 9MM, fully cocked and loaded. This will be his first driveby, as he just turned twenty last week and the Yardies do not allow anyone to do a driveby until they’ve reached twenty. He reaches down and feels the hard, cool metal against his soft, warm hand. He looks out the window to see three Nines, standing infront of the Ammunation. He rolls down his window, grabs the uzi, and leans out the window. He shoots one of them twice in the leg, another about five times in the head, and the first in the back four more times. He looks to his left to see the third one running off, and getting ready to turn the corner. Courtney follows him, as Jamal takes aim and pulls the trigger, to find the clip empty.

Jamal: Damn!

The Nine turns around, back around again, and runs around the corner. Courtney speeds up, and pins the Nine under the hood of his Yardie Lobo. The Nine yells in pain. Jamal gets out, and walks up to the Nine. He then motions for Courtney to back up. He does so, crushing the Nine’s legs. Jamal picks him up and drags him to the trunk, then motions for Courtney to pop it open. He does so, and he opens it, then puts the Nine inside. He closes the trunk, gets back inside the passenger seat, and they head for the apartment.

Yardie Apartment: 3:41 PM

Jamal sits on his couch, watching a news report about the driveby he did earlier. The news reporter stands by the two dead bodies, and explains that this has to do with the war between the Yardies and Purple Nines. She then walks over to the spot of blood where the Nine they brought back with them, and explains that the police took the body to try and find the suspect. Jamal laughs, thinking about how much lies go on TV every day, then hears a pounding at his door. He stands up, walks to the door, and opens it.

Random Yardie: Courtney wants to see you in the basement mon.

Jamal nods, and walks out of the apartment room, closing the door behind him. He follows the Yardie soldier down to the basement, and walks down the steps. Inside, he sees a room filled with blood, and only one chair with the Yardie’s flag painted on it. On the chair sits the Nine, still unconscious. Jamal walks over to Courtney, and he motions for him to stand on the other side of the chair.

Courtney: Wake up.

He kicks the chair leg, and the Nine stirs a little. He kicks it harder, and the Nine wakes up. He looks around, and starts yelling.

Nine: HELP! HELP! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, SOMEBODY HELP ME!

Jamal: No one can here you. You’re as good as dead.

Nine: Please, don’t kill me! I don’t know anything man!

Courtney: BULL sh*t!

Courtney punches the Nine in the cheek. A tooth flies over towards the wall. The Nine yells in pain.

Nine: SOMEFODY HELF ME!

Jamal: Don’t worry, we won’t kill you if you tell us what we want to know.

Nine: I DON’F KNOW ANYFING!

Courtney: That’s a huge lie, mon. Now, first, we want to know, who is your leader?

Nine: I AIN’F FELLIN’ YOU SHIF!

Courtney: Do you want to lose another tooth? If not, you’ll tell us.

Nine: ALRIFE, ALRIFE, I’LL FELL YOU! His name is J.P.!

Jamal: Now that wasn’t so hard, was it? Where does he live?

Nine: I don’f know!

Courtney cracks his fist.

Nine: Alrife! Alrife! He’s sfaying in an old aparfment building in Forf Sfaunfon!

Courtney: Thank you mon. Now, just get your “F”s and “T”s back in the right places, and you’re good to go.

Nine: You’re nof gonna kill me?

Courtney: Well..

Courtney pulls a 9MM out of his pocket, and hands it to Jamal.

Courtney: Finish the job Jamal.

Jamal nods, puts the barrel up to the Nine’s head, and pulls the trigger. Blood spatters against the opposite wall. Courtney grins. The Nine’s body slumps over in the chair, obviously dead.

Courtney: Put ‘is body in the corner, with the rest of ‘em.

Jamal drags the body over to a pile of bodies in the corner, and puts it on top. He then sees Courtney walk out the door. He follows him, shutting the door behind him. He then walks up the stairs.

Jamal: So, what you goin’ to do now, Courtney?

Courtney: We need more information on JP. I bet we can get a lot at that apartment of his.

Jamal nods, and they close the door to the stairs behind them. They walk outside, get in Courtney’s Lobo, and head for the apartment.

Jamal: Wait, he didn’t tell us which one it is!

Courtney: Well, there’s only one apartment in Fort Staunton, so I’m bettin’ it’s the one right over to our right.

Jamal looks to their right, and sees an apartment curb with two Nines sitting on it, each smoking a joint. They look up, and each drop their joints. The one on the right side of the curb stands up and runs inside, while the other pulls out an ingram and fires at the car. Courtney swerves and parks across the street, and they both get out of his door. Jamal takes aim with the 9MM Courtney gave him, and starts firing. He grazes the Nine in his right shoulder. The Nine drops the ingram, and runs inside screaming. Jamal runs across the street, putting his 9MM in his left hand, then picks up the ingram with his right. He walks into the apartment, greeted by the smell of coke. He walks up the steps, and looks around. There’s a hallway to his left, and to his right. He runs into the right hallway, and looks around. He looks to the left to see a door at the end of the hallway, bustling with hurried conversation.

Nine: They be outside man, I’m tellin’ you! We gotta get outta here!

JP: Nah man, I ain’t goin’ out that easy.

JP reaches under his desk and grabs an AK47. Jamal runs to the door, kicking it open.

Nine: Oh sh*t!

The Nine jumps to the right behind a wall, opens a door and goes into the closet. JP takes aim at Jamal and fires the AK. Jamal jumps to the left, behind the wall, then leans to his left and fires the ingram at JP. JP gets grazed in the leg twice, then drops the AK and runs for the closet. Jamal runs into the room, turns around, and notices that the closet is actually a set of stairs. He runs up them, and turns around to see JP getting into a purple Maverick with a white stripe. JP waves, and the Maverick rises off the apartment roof. Jamal aims at it and fires the ingram, but notices he’s out of ammo. He throws the ingram off the side of the apartment, and starts firing with his 9MM. He gets a few shots in, but they don’t make a difference. JP’s Maverick heads off.

Jamal: Damn, I let ‘im get away! Courtney ain’t gonna be happy..

Now, don’t worry, I won’t be canceling Say Cheese over this. I’ll still post chapters in it. wink.gif

Chapter Two

Jamal walks halfway down the stairs, then stops, hearing voices. He creaps down the few steps left, and looks into the room.

Nine 1: Damn, there musta' been a shootin' in here, o' somethin'.

Nine 2: Let's get outta' heeya', I'm gettin' scared.

Nine 3: F*ckin' busta'.

Nine 2: Man I ain't no chicken sh*t busta'!

Nine 1: Both y'all shut tha' f*ck up, I think I heard somethin'.

Jamal (Under his breath): Sh*t..

Jamal turns around and runs up to the roof, then turns left and hides behind the wall. He looks to his right to see a 2x4. He picks it up, then waits for one of the Nine's to walk through the doorway. They walk through, and look to the right. Jamal crouches and moves a little closer to the edge. The nine looks to the left, then faces the stairs.

Nine 2: Man, I don't see nothin' up heeya'.

Nine 1: Keep lookin'!

The Nine turns the corner and sees Jamal.

Nine 2: Holly shi--!

Jamal stands up, runs for the Nine, and knocks him in the chest with the board. He then whacks the Nine in the face, then kicks him in the stumach. The Nine lays there, unconcious.

Nine 1: B? ..B-Dog? ..You OK up theya'?

Jamal: I'm uh (clears throat) fine. I don't see nothin' up heeya'.

Nine 1: You OK B? You sound kinda' funny yo'.

Jamal: I'm ok (cough). I think I swallowed (cough) a bug or somethin'.

Nine 1: Ok, whateva', just get yo' ass down here nigga'! I heard they was Yawdies in heeya'.

Jamal: Wait, I think I saw somethin'. Hand me yo' gat.

Nine 1 walks up the stairs, 9MM in hand. He gets to the next to top step and Jamal sticks his left hand in the doorway.

Jamal: Just hand it to me.

The Nine hands it to him, then walks back down the stairs.

Jamal (Under his breath): What a f*cking moron.

Jamal walks down the stairs, pistol in hand. He sidesteps halfway out of behind the wall, and takes aim.

Jamal: Don't move bitches!

Nine 1: I KNEW YOU WASN'T B-DOG!

Jamal fires the pistol, to find out he has no bullets.

Nine 1: We ain't that f*ckin' retarted man. GET 'IM!

Jamal drops the pistol, and runs up the stairs. He turns left, and searches B-Dog's pockets. He finds a 9MM in the left one, and runs to the other side of the roof. He then hears gunshots, with bullets whizzing beside his head. He jumps, rolls to the left, and takes cover behind the second roof access entrance. He turns around and fires. He misses Nine 1 two times, then hits him in the knee. He starts going for Nine 3 when he feels a sharp pain in his left arm. He sees it has been grazed.

Jamal: MOTHER F*CKER!

Jamal aims for the Nine's head, hoping to get lucky.

..He got lucky. The Nine is hit straight in the skull, and dies instantly. He falls to the ground beside Nine 1, who is clutching his knee and screaming. Jamal stands up, and walks across the roof. He reaches Nine 1, and spits in his face.

Nine: You motherf*cker..

Jamal kicks the side of his face, and continues walking across the roof. He turns right, goes down the stairs, and exits the apartment room. He heads for the stairs, and exits the apartment building. He looks at the Lobo, and sees a pool of blood under it.

Jamal: Sh*t!

He runs to the Lobo, and sees Courtney laying beside the driver side, clutching a wound just under his left ribcage.

Jamal: Sh*t sh*t sh*t!

Jamal picks him up, and puts him in the passenger seat. He then gets in the driver seat, starts up the Lobo, and heads for the hospital.

Staunton General Hospital: 4:11 PM

Jamal swerves to the left, but misses the turn. The back of the Lobo spins, and hits the left rail of the stairs. Jamal takes his foot off the gas and the car rolls back, crashing into the wall right beside the door. Courtney groans. Jamal gets out, walks over to the passenger side, and takes Courtney out. He kicks open the door, and carries him in.

Jamal: EMERGANCY! EMERGANCY! I SAID F*CKING EMERGANCY!

A stretcher comes, with four doctors and one nurse. Two of the doctors put Courtney onto the stretcher, then head down the hallway. Jamal walks outside, and gets into the Lobo. He tries to start it, but it won't start.

Jamal: Come on you peice of sh*t..

He continues to try, to no avail. He gets out, kicking the door shut. He looks to his left, to see a Perennial parked. A for sale sign is on the winshield, and a man is sleeping in the back. Jamal walks around and taps on the window. The man sits up, startled, and gets out.

Man: Who are you?

Jamal: I saw that you're selling this car and--

Man: Oh, you want to buy this sh*tbucket. Well.. I'll go as low as.. Six hundred.

Jamal: Deal.

Jamal pays him, and gets in. He starts it up, and exits the parking lot.

Jamal: Time to tell everyone the bad news..

Jamal heads for the apartment, afraid of what everyone is going to say, while the man that owned the Perennial wonders why Jamal carries $100 bills on his person reguarly.

I think we set a record for a story getting a gold star.

Seven days and it gets a star!

Sadly though, it seems after TNT got us a star someone rated it down, but DP and Grant (I bribed him on MSN.) helped get it back up to 70%.

Watch the star go poof in five minutes though. It always happens. Just like with Say Cheese.

Which, I need to post a new chapter in.

  • 2 weeks later...

I really couldn't give a sh*t less about the rating, everyone that visits Writer's Discussion knows it's gotten a star twice, plus if you read the posts in here you can tell by that too. So in a way, I've gotten two gold stars for this story. Well done, annonomys stranger trying to piss me off! You try to get rid of my stars, but infact, you gave me two!

Chapter Three

Autry: Hey man, stop beatin' yaself up over it. It wasn't ya' fault.

Jamal pulls up to the next window at the Burger Shot.

Jamal: Yeah, maybe you're right. Maybe it wasn't my fault.

Autry: See mon? Ya' feelin' betta' already. Now pass tha' food!

Jamal grabs the bag, and pays the woman in the window. He hands the bag to Autry, who takes out a cheese burger. The woman then hands Jamal two large Sprunks.

Jamal: Hand me some fries, man.

Autry: Here ya' go.

Autry hands Jamal one of the orders of fries, then digs back into the bag and grabs his, then continues to dig into the bag. Jamal pulls his Perennial out of the drivethru, and heads for the apartment.

Jamal: Why're you still digging in the bag? You already got your fries out.

Autry: Yeah, but there's still fries that fell into tha' bottom mon!

Jamal: Pffff.

Autry: Pfffffff to you too. So, whatchya' gonna do with this heap o' junk?

Jamal: I was thinkin' 'bout cuttin' off the back, takin' out the back seats, and turnin' it into a truck.

Autry: What'd ya' say, mon?

Jamal: I said I'm going to turn it into a truck. Then maybe lower the chassy.

Autry: A Perennial? As a lowrider?

Autry laughs, almost spilling his Sprunk and almost dropping his fries.

Jamal: What's so funny?

Autry: Oh.. Oh.. I'm sorry mon, but that's hilarious!

Jamal: Whatever.

Autry: You know, with Courtney in tha' hospital, I wouldn't be suprised if some nine dressed up like a Yawdie' and walked right in tha' door!

Jamal: Wait..

Jamal stops the Perennial at a red light, then turns to look at Autry.

Jamal: How long did you say you've been working for the Yardies?

Autry: Hey mon.. That's ma' ride over there! I'll see ya' lata'!

Autry gets out, and runs across the street to a black van parked infront of the Love Media station. He gets in the back, and the van speeds off.

Autry: You take care of the apartment?

Man driving: Yep. I wouldn't call it "home sweet home" now. Heh heh.

Man riding shotgun: Man, that was a dumbass joke.

Man driving: Oh really?

Man riding shotgun: YEAH!

Jamal watches the van speed off, then heads for the apartment. He makes a left, then a right, then another left down into the small alley. He parks in the corner, and gets out of his Perennial. He walks up to the elevator, and goes to the second floor. Upon exiting the elevator, he looks at the apartment in utter shock. Dead Yardies litter the floor, assorted furniture broken into peices is found laying everywhere. In the distance, Jamal can hear a Yardie calling for help. He runs across the hall, then hears the elevator ding behind him. He turns around to see three Nines, armed with two Tec-9s and one 9MM. They open fire on Jamal, and he ducks into the apartment room to his left.

Jamal: Sh*t!

He notices he's in the kitchen, stands up, and grabs a frying pan. He walks over to the door, hides beside it, then waits for one of the Nines to come by. One of them peaks into the room, and Jamal hits him in the head with the frying pan. He bends over and picks up the Tec-9, then runs from the apartment room he's in to the one across from it, shooting in the Nine's direction. One of them gets hit in the chest three times, and falls to the ground. The other isn't hit at all. Jamal peaks out of the apartment room and pulls the trigger, to find himself out of ammo. He throws the Tec-9 at the Nine, and sees it hit him in the knee. He then runs for the elevator, shoving the Nine out of his way. He gets inside, and goes to the roof. The Nine shoots at the elevator, but it has no effect.

Nine: God damn it!

The elevator reaches the roof, and Jamal exits. He looks around to find a sniper rifle, a pile of grenades, and some clips for the sniper rifle. He picks up the rifle, shoves the clips into the pockets of his hoodie, and runs to the other side of the roof, taking cover behind an air conditioning unit. The elevator dings, and the Nine steps out, then looks around the roof.

Nine: Come out, you f*cking coward!

Jamal loads one of the clips into the rifle, takes aim, and fires at the Nine's leg.

Nine: F*CK!

The Nine sways, grabs his left knee, then falls off the roof.

Nine: Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!

The Nine lands on the pavement, breaking his neck. Jamal sighs, wiping sweat off his forhead. He gets back in the elevator, sniper rifle still in hand, and goes to the first floor. He exits, and walks up to the Nine. He kicks the Nine, to hear him groan a little. He then aims, and fires two bullets into the Nine's back. The groaning stops. Jamal kicks his body, to find it dead.

Jamal: I gotta' tell Courtney about this.

He runs to his Perennial, and throws the sniper rifle into the back seat. He then gets in, starts it up, and heads for the hospital.

Staunton General Hospital: 5:34 PM

Jamal pulls into a parking space beside a Moonbeam, then heads for the entrance to the hospital. He goes inside, and walks up to the front desk.

Jamal: I need to visit Courtney. You know, the guy I brought in here yesterday, full of bullet wounds?

Woman: Yes.. Yes.. Mr.Courtney is in room 504 on floor 3. It's amazing, but he was able to heal overnight after we took the bullets out and stiched up the wounds. Some would call it a medical miracle. He was napping earlier, but he should be awake by now.

Jamal nods, and heads for the elevator. He goes to floor three, and exits. He then walks down the hallway, looking for room 504.

Jamal: 502.. 503.. Ah, 504.

He opens the door and walks in, and sees Courtney sitting on a hospital bed watching TV. He turns around, and sees Jamal.

Courtney: Ah, there's the man that saved ma' life. I was wonderin' when you'd show up, mon.

Jamal: Yeah, good to see you too Courtney. I have some bad news though.

Courtney: What's that?

Jamal: The apartment.. It's ruined. There was some kind of masacre by the Nine's. As far as I know, almost everyone is dead.

Courtney: I knew this was going to happen.

Jamal: Then why didn't you warn us?

Courtney: I knew you'd take care of it. Besides, no Yardies were killed. I told everyone to move into our other apartment, over by the alley near Ammunation, if anything ever happened to me. Then, I told them last night to get some bums off the street, dress them like Yardies, and have them stay in the apartment. I see I was smart to do this.

Jamal: Yeah. But why didn't you ever tell me?

Courtney: You were too young, and stubborn. You would've just objected, and have said something like "I'll defend the apartment, don't worry!". I was hoping you would defend the bums, it was really a test in a way. Sadly, I see the Nine's distracted you. Jamal, I want you to remember, don't trust anyone now. The only people I want you to trust are the people in the apartment by Ammunation. Do I make maself clear, mon?

Jamal: Yeah, I guess.

Courtney: Good. Now, I want to find out who had a major part in this.

Jamal thinks of Autry.

Jamal: I've got a pretty good idea who.

Courtney: Oh?

Jamal: This guy named Autry told me he was with the Yardies last night, and I believed him. He distracted me while the masacre went on. JP probably has something to do with this.

Courtney: And who's JP, mon?

Jamal: I did a little research, and found out the current leader of the Nines is Jacob Parinos, or "JP". God knows where he is right now, after that little shootout back at the apartments.

Some random apartment in Carcer City: 5:36 PM

Autry walks into the small office, to see JP sitting behind a desk, with a Nine on either side, both armed with AK47s. He walks up to the desk.

JP: How did it go, Autry?

Autry: It went well sir. I distracted him long enough. The attack was a success. The Yardies are no more.

JP: Excellent. It's time to take action. I suggest we move into their apartment.

Autry: That sounds like an excelent idea, sir.

JP: Yes.. yes..

JP laughs, and Autry leaves the room, not realizing that the Yardies will be one step ahead of them.

Dayumn, I completely forgot about that new chapter. Sorry everyone, hope you can forgive me. Oh, and no, it's not dead yet. Still need your oppinions on director's commentary. wink.gif

Chapter Four

We join our protagonist Jamal, as he sits in the back of an LCPD squad car. So, you're probably thinking, "How'd we get here? Weren't we just at JP's apartment?" Considering I'm the narrator, I suppose it's my job to tell you what happened. That'll take up today's chapter. Let's go back to where we left off in the last chapter, shall we?

JP laughs, and Autry leaves the room, not realizing that the Yardies will be one step ahead of them.

Courtney's Hospital Room: 5:35 PM

Courtney: Jamal, I have.. To tell you something.. Mon.

Jamal: Yeah? What is it?

Courtney: I'm not.. Gonna make it.. Mon.

Jamal: ..What? You must be delusional. I'll go get the--

Courtney: Jamal.. Listen to me.. I don't.. Have long. I need you.. To find my.. Sister. Her name.. Is Polly. She works.. Down at.. The Vercetti Inn &.. Suites.. Down by the docks.. She'll have to take.. Controll of the.. Yardies.

Jamal: Ok Courtney. I'll find her.

Courtney: Jamal.. My real name is.. Jacob Courtney.. Courtney is our last.. Name.

Jamal: Err, right.

Courtney: Goodbye.. Jamal.

Courtney grabs Jamal's hand and clutches it. Then, the steady heartbeat speeds up, then flatlines. Jamal closes his eyes, and bows his head.

Jamal (Praying): God, I've never spoken with you before. Sometimes, I've even doubted your existance. But now, I need you. Just.. Just open those perly white gates for Courtney.. Er, Jacob. That's all I ask.

Jamal opens his eyes and looks up, then exits the hospital room. He then exits the hospital, and heads into the parking lot. He gets into his Perennial, and starts it up.

Jamal: Now, what was I.. Oh yeah, Polly!

He then pulls out of the parking lot, and heads for the Vercetti Inn & Suites.

Vercetti Inn & Suites: 6:03 PM

Jamal pulls into a parking space, and exits his car. He walks up to the door, and enters the lobby. He looks around, seeing top of the line furniture and such. He walks up to the counter, and rings the bell.

Jamal: I'm lookin' for someone named.. Polly Courtney?

Woman: That's me. What do ya' need, mon?

Jamal: Your brother Jacob just.. Uh..

Polly: Just what, mon?

Jamal: Just passed on.

Polly: Wh-hat? Are you joking?

Jamal: ..No.

Polly: Ha, that son of a bitch had it comin'! I neva' liked him. So, what do ya' need kid?

Jamal: Well, he wanted you to take over the Yardies.

Polly: Me? Take over tha' Yardies? You're too funny kid!

Jamal: I'm not joking. Look, if you would just--

All of a sudden, three men run into the lobby wearing skimasks, black hoodies, and black jeans. Each of the men is carrying an MP5K.

Man 1: NOBODY MOVE! THIS IS A RAID!

Jamal ducks to the right, and under the hatch leading into the reception area. He gets behind the counter with Polly.

Jamal: Who the HELL raids a hotel?!

Man 1: I SAID NOBODY F*CKING MOVE!

Jamal hears gunshots, then he hears a body hit the floor. After that, he hears a woman crying.

Man 2: SHUT UP, LADY!

The man walks over to her and knocks her out with the stock of his MP5K. She falls to the floor, knocked unconcious.

Jamal: Don't you have any kind of protection?

Polly: Well.. No. Oh, wait, we do have a fire exit! Follow me!

Polly crawls into the doorway behind them, and Jamal follows. They go behind the left side of the wall, then stand up. Jamal peeks out, waits till the men are looking away, then quickly shuts the door.

Man 3: What was that? I think that door just closed..

Man 1: Don't worry about it. Go grab some of that sh*t over there.

Jamal: So, now what?

Jamal looks around in the small room. Infront of him are four desks, each with a computor. At the back of the room is a door labeled "MANAGER". To his left is a heavy duty door labeled "FIRE EXIT: ONLY USE IN EMERGANCY".

Jamal: Oh..

Polly: Do you have any kind of weapon outside?

Jamal: Not that I can think of, but I can look in my car. I might have a 9 stashed in there.

Polly: Go look mon.

Jamal opens the fire door slowly, as to not set off the alarm. He steps outside, then slowly closes it. He runs into the parking lot, then looks in the back seat and sees the sniper rifle.

Jamal: Yes!

He opens the door and picks it up, along with a few clips from back on the roof. He then slips the clips into his pockets, and heads back for the fire escape. He then stops.

Jamal: Wait.. Why don't I just shoot them long range?

Jamal walks back to his Perennial, and crounches behind it. He takes aim into the lobby, and gets a headshot on Man 2.

Man 1: WHOLLY SH*T! TAKE COVER!

Man 1 ducks to the right beside the door, while Man 3 stands there looking left and right. Jamal shoots him in the knee. He screams, then falls to the floor. Man 1 looks across the lobby and sees the elevator. He runs across, and pushes the button. He then hears the fire of a high velocity rifle, and sees a bullet hit the wall beside him. The elevator door opens while he's still looking back at Jamal, and he steps forward, to find the shot hit the controll pannel and opened the door early. He falls down the elevator shaft, screaming. Suddenly, he lands, but only breaks his legs.

Man 1: I'm.. I'm.. ALIVE! Oh god, I'm alive!

He looks up, to see a door about six feet above him. All of a sudden, he hears the motor of the elevator, looks up, and sees it decending. He tries to stand up, but can't.

Man 1: No.. NO.. NOOOOOOOOO!

A crunching noise is heard, then the shaft goes quiet. Jamal goes inside to see what happened. He looks down to see the elevator start to rise, then sees the crushed body of Man 1. All of a sudden, police sirens are heard outside. He turns around to see three Enforcers, two LCPD squad cars, and a Police Maverick overhead.

Jamal: Sh*t..

Jamal drops the sniper rifle, and raises his hands in the air. Two police men enter the lobby, 9MMs in hand. One of them cuffs Jamal. The other just smiles. They take Jamal outside, and throw him in the back of one of the squad cars. They then get in the front seats, and head for LCPD HQ.

Cop 1: You're in alot of trouble, buddy.

Jamal: F*cking tell me about it..

Next chapter coming soon.

I everso love tripple posting.

Where are my fans that are supposed to, oh, comment on each chapter? I had so many before now.

Chapter Five

Jamal sits in the back of his parents' Sentinel, as it pulls into the ferry station in Staunton Island. They had just finished shopping at the Staunton Mall, which will be torn down in twelve years, to make room for the construction of the Staunton Cox Stadium. Jamal's father stops the Sentinel right infront of the orange gate as it's closing.

Jamal: I have to go pee.

Jamal's mother: Dear, why don't you go with him?

Jamal's father: I think he's old enough to go to the bathroom on his own, Sandy.

Jamal's mother: Maybe you're right. Ok Jamal, do you see that building over there?

Jamal's mother points over to the building to their left, and Jamal nods.

Jamal's mother: Go inside, then turn right, and there should be a door that says "MEN". That's where the bathroom is.

Jamal: I'll try to be quick.

Jamal gets out of the back of the Sentinel, and runs inside.

Jamal's mother: Dave, are you sure he'll be alright?

Jamal's father: Don't worry, we're right here to watch him, what could happen?

Meanwhile, back near the Staunton Mall, a Stallion speeds down the road in the direction of the ferry station. It turns, then rams straight into the back of the Sentinel.Jamal's mother and father feel their car jolt forward and through the gate, then it rolls into the ocean. They start to roll down the windows in an attempt to exit their vehicle, when Jamal's father sees the ferry.

Jamal's father: SH---

The ferry begins to crush the Sentinel. Jamal's parents scream. Jamal walks out of the building and hears them. He runs to the edge of the road and sees them being crushed, hears the metal of the Sentinel crunching under the ferry, and sees the blood. He begins to cry, when two nearby pedestrians pull him away from the edge and try to comfort him. The driver of the Stallion throws it into reverse, backs up, and speeds out of the ferry station.

Docks beside the Staunton-Shorside bridge: 6:24 PM

Man: Wake up.

Jamal feels someone put a hand on his back, then feels himself rolling, falling off whatever he was laying on, and landing on the ground infront of it. He rubs his head, then looks up to see an LCPD officer standing beside a brown Premier.

Jamal: Who are you..?

Man: Call me McAffrey. Leon McAffrey. Listen kid, that stunt you pulled at the hotel was crazy. After seeing that I decided you might have use to me. Now, don't think I'll treat you like a partner. I don't care about you, I don't care about the Yardies, all I care about is my cut. But if you help me with this, I might be willing to return the favor.

Jamal: How so?

Leon: I can help you in your little turf war with the Purple Nines. I might even have information on the whereabouts of J.P.

Jamal: Tell me anything you know.

Leon: You have to work for me first, and show me that you acctually deserve the information. I've got a few plans that could make both of us very rich men. What do you say?

Jamal: Well, what are my options?

Leon: You work for me and get a "get out of jail free" card, or you decide not to work for me and I let the LCPD have their way with you.

Jamal: Wait, have their way with me?

Leon: You know what I mean. So, are you in?

Jamal: Why not.

Leon grins.

Leon: Good, now get in the back.

Jamal tries to stand up, but finds his hands are cuffed behind his back.

Leon: Oh, I forgot about that. Ray, help him get in the back of the car.

All of a sudden, Jamal hears footsteps behind him. He then feels himself being picked up.

Ray: Use your legs.

Jamal nods, and walks to the back of the Premeir. Ray opens the door, and Jamal gets in. Ray closes the door, and gets into the front passenger seat. Leon gets into the driver's seat, and starts the car.

Leon: I think this is the beginning of a beautiful business relationship. Now, for introductions. I'm Leon Mcaffrey, you can call me Leon, McAffrey, or Boss. I couldn't really care less which you choose. Now, this is Ray Mchowski, my rookie partner.

Leon pats Ray on the shoulder, and Ray scowls.

Leon: Temper temper, Ray. Don't make me put you back on deskwork.

Ray: Ugh.

Leon: Ray, this is Jamal Remos. He's currently aiding the Yardies in a turfwar over Staunton Island with the Purple Nines. Still have that file on Jacob Parinos?

Ray: Yeah, why?

Leon: Why what.

Ray: Why, sir?

Leon: Because he's the leader of the Purple Nines. He's apparently Jamal's main focus at the moment. Now, Jamal, what were you you doing in that hotel? You only killed three people, and dressed two of them up in skimasks and dark clothes. Trying to put the blame on them?

Jamal: Wait, wasn't there three of them?

Leon: No, but there was something that resembled a bloodsoaked skimask at the bottom of the elevator shaft.

Leon winks at Jamal.

Jamal: Trust me, I didn't do it. It was them! Finger print their weapons!

Leon: Easy, Jamal, easy. I know it was them. I sent them in there to test you, and I'm glad to say you passed the test. I guess you're lucky you kept that sniper rifle from the roof of your apartment.

Jamal: Wait, how did you know it was from the roof of the apartment?

Leon: Jamal, I know everything about you. I've got cameras in basically every part of Liberty, not to mention officers as well. You think I didn't see that shootout in the apartment?

Jamal: Wait, you saw that?

Leon: Are you really going to make me repeat myself? I didn't think so. Now, same place and time tomarrow?

Jamal: I guess.

Leon: Good. Here's a list of things you need to pick up.

Leon hands Jamal a list with some items scribbled on it. He then whispers something in Ray's ear. Ray nods, and gets out of the car. He then opens Jamal's door, and helps him out. He uncuffs him, then closes the back door and gets in the front.

Leon: It was nice talking with you Jamal. Ciao.

Leon speeds off, in the direction of the bridge. Jamal looks at the list.

Jamal: Skimask, 9MM, and a burlap sack? What the hell is he planning?

Jamal shakes his head, and walks up the hill. He walks up to the sidewalk, and calls a cab.

Fantastic story Pat. I love the simplicity of the structure and the writing smile.gif -- keep on it. I'm glad you bumped it up, although, I was planning on writing a Yardie-related fan-fic 'til I saw this! lol.

Ok, I was pretty sure I was going to discontinue this due to lack of insperation, and the fact my fans were abandoning me, but I've recently started playing GTAIII again and feel like continuing this. Keep in mind, it's been a few months since the last chapter, so you may notice things that don't agree with something that happened. If you see something like this, tell me ASAP.

The Auto-Biography of Tom Stracci just didn't work out. It seemed like a good idea when I was planning the chapters, but when I finally posted it it just went to sh*t.

Expect a new chapter sometime tomorrow.

Sounds interesting. I haven't read any of this though, so I won't be sure of anything that's occured previously! tounge.gif

If even you aren't sure about prior events, why not simply restart it? Basing my assumptions on your Tom Stracci story, at a glance your writing seems to have improved since you wrote this anyway, so I'm sure it would be a positive move all round?

Up to you, obviously. I'll follow on regardless! smile.gif
