Can someone please tell me technical differences between SA version 1 and 2 (script, exe, IMG, ...)

 

PLEASE NOTE that I`m not asking where can I find those files, just informations about it.

I seem to recall reading it somewhere online, but I can't find it now.

 

Anyways, I only know sketchy details. The SCMs are different - 2.0 had four lines removed (that relate to triggering Hot Coffee) I think (as opposed to 1.0).

 

The 2.0 IMG has the HC-related files removed (I don't know what the filenames are if you're looking for specific info), and the 2.0 EXE had a filesize check function thingy which checked the IMG to make sure that it hadn't been modified at all (any size change and the game would crash).

 

There was several "technical" fixes released along the way as well, but I'm not sure exactly what was changed. Oh, and one of the menu screen TXDs was modified to say 2.0 as well .

 

But yeah, that's only the basics, and my information mightn't be entirely correct. If you're looking for specifics, someone else will have to help you out. Good luck .
