Dr Doidberg
I don't know a lot about comps anymore, so could somebody build me a comp? I can re-use my case, my 1024 ddr ram on my current pc. Everything needs to be less than $650 canadian. But use http://www.tigerdirect.ca/ for parts because im in Canada. Thanks.
Forfit
Hm, ok. Would you like AMD/Intel, Nvidia/ATI? And what is your cases' form factor, ATX, Micro-ATX...etc... You need to get a mobo that will fit your case and ddr ram, so ddr2 mobo's are out...So most likely you'd need to stick to an AGP video card i think. Basically give us more info on what you're looking for.

Loman
XFX GeForce 7600 GT XXX-Edition Masscool CPU Cooling Fan Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86GHz Socket 775 MicroATX Motherboard 1024MB DDR2 240-pin RAM 160GB SATA HDD 450-watt Power Supply All of that comes to $787 (shipping not included). The only thing I didn't get was a case. You could always get a cheaper processor, or hard drive or something, then upgrade again in a few months. I don't know if the CPU cooling fan is enough for the core-2 duo, so you'll probably want to get confirmation before you buy. This would be a decent gaming PC, if that's what you wanted to do with it. If you add a case (I will find you one, if you really want me too, lol), you could sell your old computer to make some of your money back I know some people will suggest a better graphics card, but I have a 7600GT (non-xxx edition), and it plays every game I have at max resolutions without slowdown (NFS: Carbon, Half-Life 2, Flatout 2, just to name a few), I'd say it will last at least a few years before it needs replaced. By then DirectX10 graphics cards will be common and getting cheaper. Edited January 18, 2007 by Loman
Brutuz
If you want a case, I recommend the Cooler Master Centurion 5, I know its a bit expensive with those things in the above post, but I have one and they are good, My ambient temp in my comp went down around 10c with this case, and my HDDs went down 17c average.
