Starion Posted January 16, 2007 Share Posted January 16, 2007 Hi all, Ive been practising with max a lot more and im really starting to get the hang of it, this is my latest attempt at something: A knockoff of a Nissan 350Z .aka. A 2007 modern euros. Ive been working slowly for about a week on it now. Heres the latest screen I have of it so far: Its at about 400 polys I would say now. Its progressing well in my eyes seeing im such a newb at modeling which must be a good thing.. Will be realeased for sa when its done. mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno. I know a few people have said its too good to be a knockoff but I have a plan, why not make 2 versions of the same model? one version can be slightly lower poly, have gta engine, textures, interior and other features and the other version can be the same base model, but be fairly higher poly and have the proper interior, engine and textures and so on. good idea? Mista_G Posted January 18, 2007 Share Posted January 18, 2007 want to make it more knock off? make it the roadster model, add some egg shells to the back behind the seats with some chrome bars and maybe do something about the front lights and rear lights, would look kinda cool to have the rear lights maybe extend all the way around the back? have it so theres a light that extends from the 2 corner pieces and connects in the middle so its one continuous light at the back. And the front, if you wanted maybe have an L shaped light, curve it out around the inside and make it look a little like the head lights on the 2007 G35 Sedan! other then that I like it. I have clicked the 2 sided box in the material editor then applyed the material but there was no change.. all the other modifyers worked apart from that.. help! Picolini Posted January 20, 2007 Share Posted January 20, 2007 Looking great! As everyone else said it does look too close to the original to be SA style as a knock off. I would suggest dumbing down some detail, such as the front grill, at least for the SA version, SA cars don't go that far really, they have bulkier and thicker grills with fewer slots. I like Mista_G's wrap around lights in the rear idea, the front ones might look good too. Also the eggshell thingy sounds cool if I'm thinking of the right thing, Like this? @Stene, this is supposed to be what the 300zx/Euros would have evolved into is what he means by 2007 Euros. Of course it looks nothing like the original Euros! With that said, I think it should have a little modification to the name.... maybe add a Z or something... I always think knockoffs are harder, they need more imagination and creativity. You've made the body really good, low-poly as hell too. Nicely done starion. Only the gts R32 Skylines were rear wheel drive, all the skyline models before the R32 were rear wheel drive I believe though.
