KinkyJedi
Ok then smart arse Lets see how many people reply to this topic then..... Its not that people dont check the pinned topics its that most people who mod have an imagination and can think up ideas for themselves....you want something made? learn how to mod and make it like the rest of us did. KinkyJedi
Yes everyone knows the pinned topics dont work, thats why us "pros" as you so eloquently put it dont use them. And as no-one else will read this i would stop whining if i were you.... Kinky x
Pat
The modders don't have to do what you say. Posting in the request forum doesn't mean you'll absolutely get it. Somtimes, you don't get stuff you want. That's life kid. If they don't answer your requests, oh well. No one is/can make them. Now, stop making topics with the same lame exuse about the pinned topics never getting checked. Now that you've made an ass of yourself thinking everyone has to do/make what you say, I doubt your requests will ever get filled. Good day sir. PS: If you want a lil' more respect, brush up on the grammar, m'k?
dertyjerzian
well here's two for your count, Kink Oh, silberio... sigh... Didn't dexx tell u once? And, as a modder, dude, these posts u keep spamming the boards with will definately turn off any prospective taker. You just have to make ur request, and if it is never answered, so be it. Accept it. Sooner or later, someone will see ur request when they are bored and not doing their own thing. Do you think we are a company here? We're not customer service. You need to learn to mod? The information is here. Why do you think someone will make an easy mod like a tec nine for you? Thats one of the easiest edits around, and in most cases, a pointless one. I am not in any way trying to offend you, understand that. This is like, how manu bitter topics now? Learn to mod. The information is here, and its all easier than you think. Before you mod, learn a graphics program like GIMP which is free, or MSPaint will suffice if you go for photorealistic mods... Like "high detail" guns. Dude, these topics are going to make people first ignore you, then after you get mad, and start flaming on topic openings etc, you will get banned, and NEVER learn/get your gun. Think about it first. Why not contact people who made guns? They LIKE making guns... These boards are not as active right now due to a lot of different things, mainly... People arent really modding gta right now... Only Die Hards stay with it even after anew release (look at all the vice mods still coming along!) I can point you to the right place though, and I bet you'l lhave your own nifty tec9 release in NO TIME! the tutorial forum, look in the, yes, pinned directory topic. What you are looking for is TXD/texture stuff. Once you learn to extract a TXD(texture library) from GTA3.IMG, open it, and extract the texture you want from it, then all that is left is to edit the picture and reimport it, it cant be simpler! This does not mean u are dumb, you just havent really tried. Once someone made your mod... Would we then need to tell you how to put it in game? Would you ignore the tutorials for that? Dude, trust me, I'm being your friend and advisor here.
Silberio
i know how to mod, if i could, i would make every mod, and never even look at this page, but my comp is not in my side, thats why i make requests, because i cant do mod by myself, my comp allways crashes, and i have no money to make it better, so thas why i put requests, if not, i would do them myself, and thats what noone want to understand... BTW, im not that kinda guy that gets mad and start flamming everyone... PS: meaby soon i will be off GTAForums, just so u know, im tired to be insulted and stuff, only 2 person in all this time ive been here have helped me, so this is like a "goodbye"... Ben
It's all well and good to say that the current system operating in this forum isn't effective, but you should at least have a suggestion as to how it can be improved. Posting a new topic for every request wouldn't work because you could potentially end up with 50 requests a day - that would mean that some end up on the second page of the forum, where they aren't going to be seen. Not to mention the fact that people don't often set out their requests in the best possible manner, or post the wrong things here entirely - take a look at how many topics are locked or moved from this forum. If anything, I'd suggest implementing a more highly structured forum - have the topics to deal with each different category of modding, but split them up for each game - 5 or so topics for GTA3, 5 or so topics for VC, 5 or so topics for SA, etc. But then even that wouldn't work perfectly because there's hardly any requests floating around for GTA3 these days, whereas there are plenty for SA, for example. A lot of the problem is that people expect to be handed things on a silver platter without having to work for them. But as dertyjerzian said, the information is all here on how to mod. If you can show people that you've had a go, and you're now stuck, you're much more likely to receive a helpful reply instead of being "ignored" . EDIT - If you're computer is so bad that it crashes everytime you try to mod, how can you possibly play any of the GTA games on it? 92F
I will be the first one to say goodbye when you go, as your seriously getting on my tits now. Ive said this once and I'll say it again: Us modellers dont owe you anything or have to do jack sh*t for you just because theres a pinned request topic. The only reason theres a pinned topic is to stop biffs like you spamming the place up with requests. If something doesnt get made tough sh*t! Learn to model... Suction Testicle Man
Come on Silberio man, I know people can be tough but you really have to think before posting, what do you think the response is going to be? The rules do clearly state that I should actually be binning this topic rather than locking it, which would mean you get nowhere anyway. Everyone else; no need to state the obvious over and over, it's easy to mistake it for sh*t-stirring. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.
