Edmachine
Try opening your PC case, and check if the cables are connected. If they are... well, then I don't know what to do. K^2
If your CD-ROM was master, it might have gone bad, taking the CD-RW drive slaved to it along for the ride. Try disconnecting the CD-ROM, and connecting CD-RW as master. Don't forget to check jumper settings. I think, putting it on Cable Select and connecting CD-RW to the far end of the IDE cable would work best. P.S. If that doesn't work, it's either a software problem or IDE controller on mobo went bad. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.
Star-Lord
2 quick questions for you the first one is do any of your drives show up in the post screen and do they show up in device manager if so they might have some sort of a resource conflict or bad driver. Uninstall both drives from device manager and scan for hardware changes. So you can obtain a new driver. If that doesn't work for you try swapping IDE cable they might of had gone bad. Hope this helps.
