Fear Factor Posted January 16, 2007 Share Posted January 16, 2007 Hey, I was just playing SA, the mission ''Pier 69'' and when I came back to San Fierro from killing Ryder.... Then I had a 5 Star Wanted Level... ( Which is normal In this Mission ) So then I died and spawned at the Hospital In Doherty.... but the thing is... I kept my Weapons ???? Posted January 16, 2007 Share Posted January 16, 2007 Once you have dated Katie, you keep your weapons after you die, same goes for when you date Barbara, you keep your weapons after getting busted. GTA_Loco Posted January 16, 2007 Share Posted January 16, 2007 Chances are, you've experienced a memory-saved portion of a previous game where you've dated Katie and/or Barbara already. This is quite normal I think. As far as I can recall now, in PS2 v1.0, if you use the same unformatted memory card (w/o erasing the PS2 data in it), start a new game and get busted or wasted right away and you still get to keep your weapons, long long before even Katie or Barbara appears. I think this also applies to the other platforms as evidenced by others who've experienced the same thing. It's like a "carry-over" from a previous playthrough. lil weasel Posted January 16, 2007 Share Posted January 16, 2007 When I played the PS2 and had completed the game i restarted to play again. i found that weapon infor was not written over and so I did not lose weapons when wasted/arrested. HolyGrenadeFrenzy Posted January 17, 2007 Share Posted January 17, 2007 Have you played any Two Player Rampages and gotten a relatively high level....This will give you back your weapons from the Hospital a limited number of times on Occasion.....It is how I first recieved my weapons back. Once I discovered it I used it for quite awhile until I am forced to date Millie then I date them all. But if you have beaten some of those Two Player Rampages it will explain a temporary Weopon Preservation From a Hospital....The Previous Save Glitch may very well be likely if you have beaten the game previously. The Rampage Glitch is one I discovered by accident before I dated anyone but Denise and Catalina back in 2005 and it may or may not be a PS2 Glitch. No, it isn't common to get a 5-star-wanted level after 'Pier 69'. You automatically get a 4-star-wanted level if you step onto land which you aren't allowed into (at this point in time, that would be Tierra Robada/Bone County/Las Venturas). You probably touched one of these areas, but unusually you don't get the level straight away. Soon you'll kill Ryder, and after you kill him, you receive a 5-star-wanted level because you hit the land but you killed Ryder, raising your wanted level. So, there you go. It seemed to correspond with the Rampages and I could find no other corrospondance with anything in those games(reflecting on games years past), I could be wrong, but if no save has dated Katie I could show the rampages in question and add this too..Play them allot to the point of making you and a friend entertained to two days playing Rampages and see if it happens to you. I am refering to the two person rampage Icons that you have an objective with two players......and the higher the level you get the better....anyway after doing those for quite abit I started getting my weapons back when going to the hospital and I had never dated Katie at the time in the then current or previous games.
