To continue the chain of well wishes, I would just like to let you know that this does work. I have always had problems with running my San Andreas; graphics problems, lag problems, etc. Finally, it is now running smoothly. So, thank you very much! biggrin.gif

Tekken_Lord:

well, the game is slow because I preseume your video card is onboard, and the gaming performance is rally poor with these type of cards, so you can try close some background applications (ctrl+alt+del) or turn the gamo to a lower resolution, 640x480x32 or the lowest resolution aviable: 640x480x16 (the game will look so bad, but will be fast).

Deathkidz:

Just reinstall the 3d analyze

Ok, I see you are portuguese because the error is in Portuguese.

What is the model of your OnBoard Card?

@aaron999: Your graphic card ain't bad. Have you tried Windows 98 compatibility mode? Also, disable UAC from Control Panel.

UAC (User Account Control), is a feature in Vista that causes conflict with games, causing them to mess up. I suggest disabling it. You can disable it in Control Panel > Users.

Well, you can try that.

Start > Run > Type 'dxdiag'. > OK > Click on the Sound tab > Change sound acceleration to basic.

Hardware Sound acceleration is a DirectX feature. Do you have DirectX 9.0c? If not or if you're unsure, try reinstalling DirectX from the SA disc.

im using vista, i have direct X 10

There could be some problem with DirectX. Why not try rolling it back to 9.0c? It's there in your SA disc.

Did it work?

Try changing your hardware acceleration then.

Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot.

hmm... sad.gif wont let me change it, it says:

your current display driver does not allow changes to made to hardware acceleration settings.

That's odd. Well, I'm running out of options. Are you sure you have the appropriate drivers for your video and audio card?

Maybe try looking through this topic to see if you can find something helpful.
