Other than that, I can give you some helpful tips.

 

Before the mission, get a fast bike, preferably a PCJ. If you can't find one driving around, there is always one at Salvatore's house.

 

Once you get it, go to the mission spot, watch the cutscene, then drive over to the race.

 

Once the race starts, just give the bike gas. Drive fast, but be attentive. Be careful for traffic, and follow each yellow checkpoint. Pay special attention to the traffic around Trenton, there is always a numerous mount of cars there. If you drive fast and careful, you should win easily. I did this, and it only took me one try.
