-maddog-
Im getting the Dell 2007wpf 20" widescreen monitor. And just have a question regarding it. When i get it, do i have to configure my software (Video Vegas, Photoshop Battlefield 2 etc) to run in a different format?? Or does this happen automatically? Tornado Rex
Nice. I just got myself a Viewsonic vx2025wm Anyway, onto the point. You won't need to "configure" anything, per say, but you'll want to change your screen resolution in the games to a widescreen resolution to make it look better. ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~
Sixdust
Depending on what resolutions you have set up for each game, you might have to change it slightly if it causes weird stretching or a non full screen image. As for me I just got this beautiful 22" wide screen from Acer yesterday, along with another one for the old man, next on my list is to clean up my desk, and put my old monitor back, for dual screen mania. I got quite a deal on the monitor too, only $329 each with cables and zero dead pixels, nice sexy black case as well. Sexy!
gillies
WSGF will probably be useful to you. Widescreen in some older games doesn't work at all and some others don't have options for it but it can be enabled through the registry or config files, usually the forum there gets the solutions pretty quickly. I had an expirience with my laptop, where I had to patch some games in order to play in widescreen resolution, which is just beautiful, specially for RTS! Brutuz
I've got a Wide screen, but have my old 17" LCD as a second monitor now, and I use nView (Comes with any nVidia card) to make non Widescreen games run on the non widescreen monitor (F*ck you EA)
