HarisBrotha
I just got some money for my B-day and I wanna spend them quick! I´ve got 2000 swedish "crowns" and a PSP costs 1900 crowns,so I can buy it whenever I want..BUT Nintendo Wii also caught my attention, and I wanna have it too but it costs 2700 crowns..this is how I see it: -PSP- good: I can buy it now,can have it where ever I go,can download games bad: small screen, not the best graphics,no multiplayer with friends cuz no one will buy it.. -Wii- good: playing on big TV,multiplayer, better graphics bad: I can´t buy it now, must wait(I HATE WAITING!),must buy original games... What do ya think? Can any PSP owners give me som advice? PS. Do you have to do something with the PSP if u wanna download games on it? thanks. vettefan88
PS. Do you have to do something with the PSP if u wanna download games on it? thanks. Yeah, A large Memory Stick. and an older firmware. anything over 2.81 is hopeless.
Canoxa
If you're gonna buy a PSP now, you'll probably end up with a un-downgradable firmware, unless you buy used.
HarisBrotha
thanks for answering guys! ..okay..so its useless to try to downgrade..hmm..have you experienced any problems with your PSP ?
Durka Durka Mahn
It isn't useless to try and downgrade. Go to a game store and ask for a used one. I haven't had any problems with mine at all.
Pat
If you're gonna get one from a gamestore, asking for a used one, ask to see the firmware first. If they don't show you the firmware, chances are it's 2.81 or over. But yeah, I'd take my PSP over a Wii any day. Atleast my PSP doesn't go through my window or TV screen during gameplay. pimp_60cent
okay but do you get any memory card when you buy a PSP? Yes you do. Yeah but It's only a 32MB. i would suggest buying a larger memory stick 256MB, 512MB,or 1GB (like me). Use your large memory sick for games, music, ect. And use your small 32MB for backing up any files you want just in case any accident happen. I would also recomend you getting a USB cable, it makes life on the PSP much easier
Hayden2
I recommend anyone that has a USB cable to back-up their save files onto their computer. To do so simply: • Connect your PSP to a PC. • Go to My Computer and into the PSP drive. • Go into "PSP" and then into the Saved Data Utility folder, possibly labeled "SAVEDATA". • Copy the folders and paste them into a suitable folder in your computer, like My Documents. It's not necessary but rather a precautionary measure to ensure extra protection for your saved files. May be a good idea for a 100% save file. Vito Leone
GTAIV will come out ONLY on PS3 and Xbox360 so far. I don't know about a PS2 version. Impossible. Now, we're looking of a possibility VCS be trasported to the PS2. So, if I were you HarisBrotha, I'd wait. Probably will be announced on E3 about VCS and GTA4. He's not saying there only going to be released for those two, who knows if there will be a PS2, PC or Wii port according to this. Instead of a value pack its now an entertainment pack... you get a 1 gig memstick, lords of dogtown umd movie and atv offroad fury and the psp and the charger and the battery. Deuce Deuce
You don't always receive a memory card along with your PSP console - I ordered a PSP on Amazon and didn't receive one, I had to buy one. Now, buying a memory card being the only option, I went out and bought a 2gig one. It's worth the money, since you can fit videos and stuff like that on there. I'd buy a PSP instead of a Wii, if I were you. Even though I've never even played a Wii, I'm going by my experience with playing a PSP. The wireless internet connection and browser is pretty damn cool. And I'd say the graphics on a PSP are about the same as a PS2, except (obviously) on a smaller screen. Fear Factor
In my opinon. No. I'm not really into PSP and other gaming stuff like that. I'm more of a PS2 Xbox Wide Screen guy. But that's just my opinion. You can do what you want.
