dude, i just might buy VC just for this mod

Are there any things i shoulod know before i buy VC? Like, unmoddable versons or something?

is this mod dead are u still doing the map and missions

They said on moddb that o.2b is still in the works on 23rd March, they didn't give a release date though confused.gif I also have to be nitpicky about some stuff to tounge.gif

 

1) There is no sign that Mr Fusion makes that sound from the first film, I don't know if you are working on this...

 

2) The Mr Fusion version can do atleast 2-4 trips, as we saw in BTTF II. They arrived in 2015, (One Trip) then Biff stole the Delorean and went back to 1955 (Two Trips) then he most likley didn't know exactly how the Refuelling system worked, and he got back to 2015 without refuelling most liley (Three Trips) then Doc, Marty, Einstein and Jennifer go back to 1985A, (Four Trips) but we do not hear or see any part where they refuel Mr Fusion

 

Hope you fix these things, so it can be as accurate as possible smile.gif

1) That sound was made up. I would have used the movie one, except it had either voice or music in the background. And since we're not really sound designers, it sounds crappy.

 

2) Well, here's my logic. Doc refuels, they go to 2015. He does not know that biff takes the delorean, so to him, only one trip has taken place. Right before they go back to 1985, Doc is seen refueling the delorean again, so timeline according to doc.

Refuel-->Time Travel to 2015-->save Marty Jr. and Jennifer-->refuel-->Time Travel to 1985

 

Also, Biff would know how to refuel. Mr. Fusion is 2015 technology for the home, so he should know how to use it.

Me, K.I.T.T., Carlos EGL, and Keeper over at bttf.com decided to start a new bttf conversion mod for GTAVC that adds hill valley, time travel, and deloreans. So far, I have the time travel script done, and am just troubleshooting the bugs and adding some new features if they come to my head. The script is built upon the stripped script from the vice city mission builder.

Features so far include:

-Speedometer

-New Font

-BTTF1, BTTF2, BTTF2 Flying, BTTF3, Train, and Flying Train models

-Modified Deloreans to allow carcol on flux coils (so that they can turn blue)

-Modified BTTF3 delorean with slightly bigger tires and a higher ride

-Modified particles

-Effects close to the movie as possible (wormhole, sparks, plasma trails)

-Only travel through time, not space

-Plutonium required

-Spawning (for testing only)

-Custom sound effects (time circuits, "explosions", plutonium, sparks)

-Time travel gets rid of wanted levels

 

I already have silver007's permission to release his deloreans, as well as Carlos E.G.L.'s permission to use his train, especially since he just modeled the interior.

 

As of now, the clocktower is being made, as well as the models for Marty and Doc, but other than that, nothing else has been made besides the deloreans and train.

 

We are currently looking for more modelers and texturers, as this will take a while to remake hill valley. The plan is to have 5 instances of Hill Valley (1885, 1955, 1985, 1985A, 2015) on one map, and have boundaries seperating them, and the delorean will transport to the corresponding place. We also need modelers to make the cars and peds for the different times, such as 2015. Any help would be appreciated.

please help me the mod wont work the game crashes when i get to the loading game data part. i really really need help please.

I really cant say enough about how great this mod is. If this gets finished and is made like you guys plan, I would easily pay (or in this case donate) the price of a new game for it. I've been a HUGE BTTF fan since I was a little kid and I've always wanted a BTTF game that didnt completely suck, so I love where this is going.

 

I actually just saw that this mod was being worked on earlier today, so I dug up my old Vice City CD's, reinstalled the game and spent most of my night trying to remember how to install the new models. biggrin.gif Regardless though, it was well worth the work once I got everything up and running. I was even impressed with the title screen you guys got, the GTA look with the BTTF scenes... just awesome.

 

If I knew the first thing about modeling and texturing, I'd be more than willing to lend a helping hand, but since I dont, I'll just say thanks and keep up the great work!! I'll definitely be keeping a close tabs on the mod.

 

BTW, where are the two building that change when you travel from 1986 to 1987?

The two buildings is the construction building that avery has you blow up with the toy helicopter, and the haitian factory you also blow up with explosives

 

Yeah, I wish it were sa too, but the modding capabilities of vc is better all round.

 

Yes, time travelling will be part of the state of liberty mod. Like the past will have the stories version of liberty while present has gtaiii version and future has x-seti's version in his mod.

 

 

 

I'm getting a fairly consistant crash that I thought you guys might want to hear about. Whenever I'm hitting tab to switch weapons at the mansion, the Auto-Cruise for KITT pops up and the game will crash out to Windows. It seems that when I start the game back up right away, it doesnt have that problem anymore. But if I havent played for awhile and I go do that, it will almost always crash that first time.

 

Anyway, I dont know if you guys were aware of that, but I thought I'd pass it along. Cant wait for v0.2b!

Any help modeling would be helpful. Just contact our mapper at [email protected]. The only weapons we need is that tiny gun doc had in bttf1 and the sniper rifle he had in bttf3.

 

On another note, 0.2b has just been released on moddb.

oh yeah, we do need griff's bat. Too bad it can't extend or retract.

 

Anyway, got some updates on 0.2c

 

New hud with new time circuit display and operation, different speedometer, and a fuel gauge. Fuel should last about 6 hours, but I haven't tested that yet for obvious reasons. Another feature I implemented with the fuel is the ability to save the fuel state of any car.

It's been upgraded since, now allowing you to choose any delorean you desire.

How will you make the cars on the road fly in the year 2015?, or will they just stay on the road

 

and will there be different cars in each of the time zones?
