Edmachine
Ok, I've made three penguins. Well, the difference is that each has its own face expression. One is happy. The second one is sad. And the last, but not the least, the surprised one. Critics & Comments please. And can anyone tell me how to do one thing in Imageready? I wan't to distort the layer for only one frame, with Transform. But then it applies the changes on all of the frames. Any way else? uNi
They're ok, but the second one looks more confused. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/265099-the-penguins/#findComment-4012921 Share on other sites
Edmachine
Lol, now I want to get Happy Feet. It's a movie. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/265099-the-penguins/#findComment-4012932 Share on other sites
Hayden2
Happy Feet is a good movie, you should see it. Your pictures are kinda weird, look more like black & white monkeys than penguins. Deuce Deuce
A mixture of shapes and difference sized ovals, filled with gradients, effects and allsorts. The only thing good about it, I'd say, would probably be the sky (if you did actually do that from scratch, that is). You want some critics & comments? Try lay off the whole cartoon-y pictures, try to focus on things like signatures and animations. The best way to lean into the direction of high quality GFX work, is to get stuck right in rather than start on small, pointless things. Anyway, I like those penguins. I think I'll call them Linux. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/265099-the-penguins/#findComment-4013944 Share on other sites
gRiM-reapa
Hehe Linux. Nice work Edmachine, but basic Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/265099-the-penguins/#findComment-4014057 Share on other sites
Ottae
Seriously, I have to highlight your font. Try setting your skin to Vice City and read your topics! Anyway, It's quite basic. The worst bit out it is the penguin's mouth, it looks stuck on instead of part of his face. Also, you can see the joins in the arms where you've got an anti alias around his body. Anyway, I like those penguins. I think I'll call them Linux. Well then if I were you I'd look at tutorials that teach you more artistic things, like signatures, animation, vectoring, etc. I realise you're not very experienced, but as I say I guess the only way to learn about that sort of thing is to try it over and over again, improving and altering different styles and things each time. However, if you're happy with making what you do, then so be it. I just think you'll get bored and want to try more advanced stuff. Phalanxe
Well then if I were you I'd look at tutorials that teach you more artistic things, like signatures [...] Seriously, artistic and signatures shouldn't be in the same sentence. Well I didn't mean signatures are artistic per se, I meant artistic things and signatures as even signature making boosts your GFX skill, rather than cartoon pictures with a load of renders dabbed on. Should have reworded my last post. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/265099-the-penguins/#findComment-4015710 Share on other sites
papanesta
Well then if I were you I'd look at tutorials that teach you more artistic things, like signatures [...] Seriously, artistic and signatures shouldn't be in the same sentence. Signatures can be a mini art piece in themselves. If you were to take a screen shot or part of one of your drawings, and use it as your sig, it's still art. As for this topic, and its poster, stop just doing tutorials and posting the f*cking outcomes. Locked.
