GTA advance is ...well...lets start with the land, it is large, bigger than GTA 3, now the gamplay, it is easy once used to and challanging to keep you going. PLENTY!! of things to do including the rampages and hidden packages (100 HP and 21 RP), street racing, taxi, paramedic etc. It is similar to the early GTA 1 and 2, 1969 and '61 with nice textures and graphics. It isn't what you call adictive 'cos there are only a few songs on the radio which aren;t very clear to hear...well the music is but not the little bits of talking, the only things you drive are cars (I think) and the unlockables are like...eg. 10 hidden packages 1 pistol at safe house etc. In other words the unlockables are weapons and I think a few cars and more.

BUT the weapons are great and it funny watch a little man course mayhem.

Its great to play abroad or in a car/plane etc or at home! I would probably get a cheapy somewhere. Itis quite good for handheld free - form game. rahkstar2.gifrahkstar2.gifcool.gifcool.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

well lots of people think that gta san andreas stories would be too big to fit on one of them little UMDs unless it was like a multiple disk set or they only have parts of san andreas. and people would think that having to swap over the disk would take away the gta expierience. and what with the development of gtaIV underway we will probably be waiting until at least 2008 for a new title to come out

I just yesterday bought that game for my Gameboy Micro, because I want to take GTA with me on my vacation. I never played GTA 1 or 2, so I thought this is a good time and opportunity to finally catch up. I understand GTA Advance is not 1 or 2, but nevertheless it seems to be great fun... for a GTA fan. I felt right at home with Ammu-Nation, Pay'n'Spray etc., everything is there, even Firetruck missions, vigilante, turfs, etc., even the style is totally GTA. Graphically it's a good "ok" when you got used to it, it even shows some 3D with the houses, buildings and surroundings stretching in perspective around the streets, but it's all birds-view 2D.

What I do when deciding to buy a game or not is to check the FAQs available of a game, in this case find it at Gamespot (bottom of page)

if its to big to fit on a UMD, it could just be Los Santos Stories, or Las Venturas Stories ect.

The original GTA and GTA2 didnt have Ammunation, Vigilante etc, but they had the "3D" buildings just like Advance (except the GBC versions which where totally 2D, and also sh*t). Also some of the music in GTA and GTA2 is awesome (London's isn't that great, except for the classical one and the title screen). The early games seemed to have a crazy 'fun factor' which has slowly vanished from the series, Vice City was the last game to have it really, but not as much as the original GTA. It's a hard quality to pin down but from the very start of San Andreas i knew it was gone forever...
