Nemesi Posted January 11, 2007 Share Posted January 11, 2007 Name: It's CSM, but it's already in there Size: 64x64 pixel (the avatar is for use in GTAF, so the size is the one allowed here) Theme: I already have this avatar, but I'd like to add an animated "disturb". I'm thinking of television screen buzz: imagine you're watching a normal TV program, than the image begin to be distorted, than the signal disappear and you can only see buzzes in the screen. I don't know how to explain it better...I hope sometimes you have had signal problems with your TV (I don't know...a big storm, a pigeon on your aerial...)... I'd like to have about 2~3 seconds of clear image (that is the one I provide you), than the buzz starts and it become deeper and deeper till you can't see the image anymore. Than almost suddenly the image become clear again... I don't know how weight this thing can result, so modify the timing as you want to stay into the limits...If the size is good, you can add additional quick disturbs after the image returns clear again... Resources: This (is my current avatar anyway...) Colors: Well, the buzz is usually white-grey....The name is already colored, if you can keep the transparency it would be great... TheRoper Posted January 11, 2007 Share Posted January 11, 2007 One problem, you can't have alpha-transparency AND animation, unfortunately... There are a few solutions to this: 1. Add a colored canvas (perhaps the default skin's blue color, or a different color, but then I'd suggest a border) 2. If you gave a link to the specific font, someone could make one from scratch w/out the alpha-transparency, but then the edges would be a bit jaggy 3. Probably other things I don't know of, but I do know you can't have both because PNG's have alpha-trans but no animation and GIF's have animation but no alpha-trans... 'Tis a shame indeed, but I'll try to do something with it. And if you know the font, that would be nice.
